How do i get all official DLC added to my vanilla Skyrim on pc?
Hallo everyone!

I bought skyrim WAAAAAY back for pc, and because my pc sucked i was not really able to play it. I since played it on ps4 and now finally got back at it on PC. On PS4 i just bought the special edition or whatever it is called with all the DLC included as default. But i only have the OG vanilla skyrim version for pc and would love to upgrade it and keep my character as well. I dont use mods btw.

I looked on the different versions, special edition and anniversary but i dont know which one i should chose and how to merge it to my existing version of skyrim. Can any of you maybe help me out a bit?

Thanks in advance! :-)

Go to the pinned thread "Helpful Links and References" and look for the link for the DLC, use that and it opens a document with the links for you to buy the three DLCs.

Alternatively, if you know a safe third party website you can buy the Legendary Edition Keys and get it that way.

It does not really make any sense for me to buy the DLC packs separately if it is possible to transfer my existing character to the anniversary or special edition since its much cheaper and less work i assume :-) I just dont know if it is possible

I found an bethesda support thread saying i can transfer my old save to the special edition. Now i just need to know, can i buy the Anniversery edition as a standalone upgrade or do i have to get the Special edition and the anniversery as a bundle?

Special Edition is a separate game, and needs to be purchased - the Anniversary Edition is just the DLC (the game is Special edition - there is no such thing as an Anniversary Edition version of the game) and can be purchased either as an add-on to the base game at some later time of your choosing, or bundled with the base game (at a slightly reduced cost).

It should be possible if your game is unmoddedm if you use mods forget about transferring the save.

As SMR says Anniversary Edition is just a Bundle of CC mods, the game itself is SE, so you would need to buy either SE or the SE+AE bundle (since the AE part won't work on it's own)
