Serana Disappointing Dawn Guard Ending

So I defeated Harkon, and got Serana cured of her vamprism. I found her again at Dawnguard Castle, she followed me for a little bit. But she's a very bland follower. I get she's just an NPC like all the others, but I was hoping for a little more social interaction from her, that's why I liked her as a follower before, but now, there's nothing other than very basic follower commands. So why bother?

Anyone else feel quite let down at the end of the Dawnguard quests? I at least thought I remember her saying something about the Amulet of Mara I'm wearing, but that topic never came up, and now that the ending is over with, I doubt it ever will at this point. I know in Vanilla, you can't even marry here, still, feels like an anti-climatic ending after she gets cured from her vamprisim.

I'd say this Serana is THE most advanced of any Skyrim Vanilla follower.
There are mods that allow you to have better dialogue with her ... marginal improvement and there is a mod to be able to marry her.

It's also based on how you treat Serana as to what sort of reaction you get from her.

From what I gathered from other posts, getting her to find a cure means you treated her pretty well throughout the Dawnguard quests. I guess I'm feeling disappointed that after she gets the cure, they have nothing to talk about anymore. Anytime you try to open dialogue with her, it's follow me, wait here, or I need to trade some things with you. About as interesting as any other follower.

You do realise its just a game and what you imagine in your head with a true life scenario, just isn't going to happen in a game, if developers had to do this to please us, they'd never finish the game, it would take them years to work out how human emotions could be applied, move on and don't stress about it.

Lol yep I already planned on dumping Serana anyway. She's kind of annoying as a follower, she always storms off when I'm sniping off enemies in dungeons with my bow. I liked her as a follower because she had the most interesting things to say, but now that she doesn't say much of anything now, I don't see the point in keeping her around. I think I might try Aela as a follower, see if she's better suited for the sneaking and sniping that I have developed for my character.

So the link to Skyrim amourus adventures mod seemed to be broken. It took me to Skryim Nexus, and even displayed Amorous Adventures in the tab, but the page is completely blank. No links, no downloads, nothing.

Serana being a Quest character only has dialogue for the quest she's tied to. Once that's over, all she has is the generic ramblings; It's so bright out here (even after you get her cured), I've spent my fair share of time underground, Great another cave, blah blah blah.

The only time she says anything interesting about a location is Ancestor Glade, and some few comments on each City.

So yeah, they could have given her more to say after the quest, just like they could have given most followers a better range of dialogue. I wish they'd done the Affinity thing like in Fallout 4, where you travel with a given follower for so long and you can have an actual conversation with them.

However, I was shocked that they gave Lydia some dialogue pertaining to Frea in the Dragonborn DLC. If you talk to Lydia after the first Draugr fight inside Myraak's Temple, she'll comment on Frea. No one else will, from what I've determined (and lugging 10 followers at once).

Serana do actually have many lines that are not in use in the game, they did rush her so the part whit marry her is not done.
But some of the line are there.

Makes sense. Too bad they didn't take a little more time with this DLC, I genuinely enjoyed it for the most part. Just didn't quite get the pay off I was hoping for.

There is several mods that takes those lines and gives you one new Serana and make her as she should be.
As suggested before AA the questline for Serana in that do makes sence and do work perfect whit the mod marry serana, you can also add RDO and Serana dialog someting. Dont remember the name of it.

But her follower AI is still buggy, she more or less needs to bug out one time before she gets good. You should not use any AFT/EFF/UFO on her use her own system.
