Help? Unusual problem
So, recently I downloaded some mods for my Skyrim game, and I have found an unusual and very annoying problem.

When I speak to one of my followers and go down the list of dialogue to where there should be "It's time for us to part ways" this dialogue isn't there. Which stops me from telling followers to leave. I have tried the console command "set playerfollowercount to 0" but it doesn't work, the follower continues to follow me. The only way I have been able to remove my follower is to attack them until they leave... but this for some reason angers the gaurds of Whiterun, seeings how the follower is a modded follower that I got from Whiterun. It isn't the modded follower though, every follower I come across is missing the "It's time for us to part ways" dialogue.

I do use UFO, I am not sure if it is the problem? I don't see how it would be since I have uninstalled it and checked again... the dialogue was still missing.

I don't know what to do, I don't like having a group and not being able to remove some of them... how do I get the dialogue back? .-.

Are you using LOOT to determine the load order of your mods ?

i had problems with follower commentary overhaul , followers would go off and not respond to dialog ques , all kinds of little bugs ,

and if you uninstall ufo there is a specific way to do it i believe , it's a script heavy mod , more than likely there are some left behind , havent used that one in a real long time
if you go indoors after uninstalling a mod and sleep for 3/4 days straight save game , exit then restart the game the game gets a chance to , reload the cells , that can fix alot of issues

No, I am using NMM {Nexus Mod Manager}
But I have UFO below any follower mods like most of the follower's creators say to do. I don't think its load order... but what is LOOT? I will try what pike has suggested, if it doesn't work, maybe I will try LOOT if it helps and if load order is the problem...

It sets your load order properly and warns you about both unclean files and errors in your mods. Use it after every time you have installed new mods, so they are at right places in your load order.

LOOT

Edit: *Ups* Grahagis had already shared the link above. I didn't notice that.

I had this issue previously. The only fix I could find was to either: remove the follower or set them as non-essential and use a mod called heartbreaker to kill them.

That seems quite drastic.

Maybe, but literally nothing worked.

It is the way UFO is set up, deactivate it and all followers/clothes related mods, play game and save, add UFO play and save then add the rest this should fix any follower issues and purple clothing.
UFO is one of the first mods you add into game at start then this problem will not arise.
Just because you have it below the other mods means nothing, it is how you load it into game, otherwords Mod Load Order.

If you are desperate to try anything, there is a workshop mod I like called "ask follower stats" or something like that which simply adds another choice in the dialogue list. It allows you to ask "what can you do," and they respond with a list of their stats. It might be interesting to see if adding this mod somehow fixed your problem. Probably won't, but it is something you could try.

Thank you everyone for your help. I did manage to get the dialogue back... I am still unsure as to how... I tried everything that was suggested above and ended on Kelvy's.
I know he/she didn't say to, but I uninstalled my entire game and reinstalled it, adding UFO before the modded followers. Thanks again everyone. This was a bit of an odd problem, thanks for giving suggestions and helping out ^u^
