Which standing stone?
Lord, warrior, lady or lover stone for a 1h/shield/light armor/restoration/archery (paladin type character with light armor I guess) Level 8 Breton.

I like the Lord Stone best, best offence is a good defence.

I like the Atronach stone. Even though magicka regenerates slower, there are enchanted items that can offset that, and you get 50% magic resistance and absorb 50% spell damage.

Yea I'm having trouble picking between Lord and Atronach now

Panzy. Grab a full set of heavy armor, wrap both hands around a battleaxe, and hit up that Steed Stone!

Go with the Lady Stone since it will increase the rate your skills grow by fifteen percent. Also, the build you described is more of a Warrior than a Paladin. While Paladins can be constructed in whatever manner you want in the Elder Scrolls universe, the traditional style usually is of one wearing heavy armor, using one-handed weapons with a shield (sometimes two-handed), light magic with healing spells--both of which can be considered Restoration--and speechcraft. These skills I mentioned are the Elder Scrolls version of what makes a Paladin, though other RPGs do have the same class just with different concepts, ideas, and terminology that are still similar.

I assume you mean the Lover stone, as the Lady stone causes health and stamina regeneration rates to increase by 25%. But yeah I know what you mean. I already decided not to use archery anymore, because my last few playthroughs have all been assassins or 1h warrior which uses archery.

Decided to use 1h / Shield / Healing spells / undead effective magic from spells from Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim, would it still be a paladin if I used light armor rather than heavy armor? I am still only level 8 with no points invested into any perks yet so I'm free to change anything atm. I will also be using Dawnbreaker.

Sounds like a paladin to me minus the armor choice, most use heavy. Of the ones you listed I'd strongly suggest the Lady, I've made great use of the extra regen even though it seems like it wouldn't be terribly noticeable. Atronach would still be a better overall choice for what is effectively the typical breton battlemage. They already resist magic and that spell absorb just makes you crap all over enemy mages.

Atronach stone would be extremely helpful then, I strongly dislike spell casters

The Steed Stone is my second favorite.

If you are a player who can remember to sleep often to keep the sleeping bonuses then the Warrior Stone, Mages Stone, and Thief Stone are good choices.

If you can't remember to sleep or just don't want to be hassled by it then use the Lover Stone. You get 15% bonus to all of the skills.

If you do the quest Lost to the Ages and aquire the Aetherial Crown then you can use two standing stones at the same time, such as the Warrior Stone and the Lover Stone. If you unequip the Aetherial Crown before you sleep you can receive a sleeping bonus and then re-equip the crown afterwards for a combined total of 45% bonus to all skills.

You can use the crown to have any combination of two standing stones.

Wow. Power-Skyrim, Omgwtfbbqkitten. Gotta try that!

Well i have always believed in leveling so i would go for the Lover because it helps out all your main stats while warrior will exclude light armor archery and restoration, however monsters do scale per level, so Lord would be a good choice as well

Lord stone seems a perfect fit for Bretons.

Ah, yeah, that's the Stone I was talking about. Thanks for the correction.

Regarding the skills for your Paladin, I'd say you're pretty much good to go. Light Armor isn't a skill Paladins would typically use since Heavy Armor is more in line with the build, but which one you choose doesn't really matter if you already have the core concepts of the build set up.
