Intro Wagon Bug
Hello,
So ive just downloaded skyrim for the first time and ive been stuck in the intro wagon scene. The carts and horse bug out so the carts are spinning and the horses look like they are flying or have been stretched across the screen. This generally kills the horses so I can no longer progress or puts me into an eternal spin where I cant see anything!

Ive been googling the hell out of this but have found no final fix. On the few occations Ive gotten to the gate, the horse charges the gate suddenly and gets stuck in it as it wont open and on the even fewer times that ive gotten past that, the horse and cart go round the corner and go into a wall where the horse walks continuely!!

Ive no mods installed, Ive limited my fps to 60, ive made sure ive enable v-sync and yet nothing works.

If this helps, this is my system build (built last weekend)

CPU = i7 - 6700K
RAM = Corsair 16GB Vengeance (2x8GB)
GPU = Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB XTREME GAMING
Hard Drive = Samsung 850 EVO 1TB SSD
Motherboard = Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO
Monitor = Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 144Hz 27"

please help, I really want to have a go at this game.

Thank you in advance!!

Rule of Thumb: Vsync (Verticle Refresh) set to always ON and FPS not to exceed 60. The game physics go wild if not. Sound default 24 bit 48KHz stereo and if Realtek then "Loudness Equalisation" on. If monitor is 120-144Hz then set it to 60Hz or adaptive refresh rate or some such from GPU utility program. If you can't then "FPS Limiter" from Nexus will do the trick. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34/?

That's a common issue with skyrim, either use an alternative start mod or try this

Hey, thank you, ive had a look and I cant seem to find anything in the bugs section that relates to what im getting. Ive done muiltiple restarts ( enough to rack me up 2, nearly 3 hours of 'game play') but still nothing

I forgot to mention, even if you don't plan on modding, installing the unofficial patch is a good idea.

Installing it is an amazing Idea, many bugs are fixed with that, like being able to acess merchant chests, etc.. etc...

i think im being really stupid here (this is my first PC - ive been used to mac so im blaming it on that) ive downloaded the mod you said here, but ive no idea how to actually impliment it into the game and same with the second one you mentioned. Nexus seems to have a 'manager' thing which i could download which would just do it all for me but it said i needed to make a 'free account' to download it. But when i went to register it wants me to pay a subscription fee to use their service which I cant really afford to do as I litterally spent all my money on this new PC and Im not planning on modding skyrim enough to warrent paying for it.

Don't worry, nothing is paid on there. It's just a recommended thing. There are some tutorials on how to download Nexus Mod Manager and everything you should do :)

When you are in the registration page scroll down to the bottom of the page; you will find the free registration there.

Do you know that story of a Turtle with a child? Momo i think, when confronted with the big bad smoker company she is to go everystep backwards.
That's about NEXUS, the smoker company. simply take cover turn around and go backwards.

it is definetly a fps bug because the only thing that could possibly do this is fps.

I never got the problem whenever I first got the game, and I had 15 FPS on low settings back then since I didn't have a updated graphics card. it was a graphics card from 2005 hahaa

Have you set your monitor to 60Hz?
Rima Apr 12, 2016 @ 2:43pm
