Vivid Weathers does NOT work at all?

So I downloaded and installed this mod, following instructions and installed via NMM. I set everything by default, tweaked my .ini files accordingly and removed the non-compatible mods (for me it was only sounds of skyrim, wilderness and dungeons). Game starts fine, go to MCM to set particle effects to the recommended 6K. As soon as I fast travel, the game ctd, no error msg or anything.

I checked immediately if it was the problem with auto-save, since I had that recently, but it turns out it wasnt. Disabled the mod and everything seems to work fine again? Anyone know wtf this is? I'm not using the vivid enb, just sweetFX. I am launching via SKSE.

The particles setting doesn't stick in the MCM, you need to set it manually in skyrimprefs.ini.

Do you have the memory fix installed for SKSE?
