Elder Scrolls VI wishlist
This is all you need to read As the title states, this is a wish list. Feel free to just leave what you want for the next game below if you don't want to read this ♥♥♥♥♥torm of text I have created. If you do read and don't like something I suggested do keep your opinion to yourself or offer a revised version of my suggestion. This is all you need to read

1. So the first thing I'm hoping for is that the game takes place in either Valenwood, Elswyr, or an entirely new continent. I doubt we'll see a new continent anytime soon though, and when we do it'll probably be the Akaviri's homeland.

2. I honestly don't know what they can do to make magic better. It's such a broad aspect of the game. The best they could do is add more spells and make a more concentrated effort to make the spells fun, unique, viable, amd interesting. The Schools of Illusion and Alteration are particularly desperate for some attention. They could easily be so much cooler.

3. Speaking of Illusion, the spells need more umphf. Look at Dragon Age: Origins. Fear spells cause enemies to cower and frantically swing at seemingly nothing. It isn't much, but it's a hell of a lot better than the sod just gunning it in the opposite direction. For the basic Illusion spells such as Fear, Rally, and Enrage I would like there to be more interesting NPC reactions. Such as bandits announcing how they always thought the guy they were on guard with was an obnoxious twit before burying an axe in his face after succumbing to your magic.

4. I'd like to see crafting upgraded. Something a little similar to what ESO had. Just imagine how many ♥♥♥♥ing weapons and armor that is? There's like 12 ores (I dunno exactly how many there actually are), okay? So for one racial style we have 24 sets of armor, because there would be light and heavy variants. There are 8 types of weapons in the vanilla game throughout all the skill trees. So with that alone we got 96 weapons for each racial style. Now add onto that spears and two types of unarmed weapons (heavy and fast types).

Let's also look at rare styles, like Akaviri, ancient civilization such as the Nords of old and the dwemer, and otherworldly entities like the daedra. Customization in the next game would be amazing. I also hope that there would be sewing. Let's say 4 different materials to work that would allow you to craft common clothes, more extravagant items, and robes. Plus, we would have trousers, chest pieces, and pauldrons separate again.

5. Unarmed skill tree brought back.

6. Unique items that are act unique. Unique models and functions. No more generic enchantments and rehashed basic models.

7. Daedric artifacts are super boring. Sure, they look cool and are high tier weapons, but they're not the legendary artifacts that adventures of all types persue. Nor are most of them all that interesting to play with. I would love each daedric arifact to offer something unique and fun. Preferably obtained after a fun quest line and feature immediate and far reaching consequences.

8. Companions like what we saw in Dragon Age: Origins. Lots of dialogue, multiple followers who would banter with each other while you adventured, reactions to what you've done and are currently doing. Anyone who playes Dragon Age knows what I want and how much it wiild be better than what we currently got.

9. Better vampires. For elaboration on what that entails see the post linked below

http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/358417008712356092/

10. More interesting wild life and much more variety. Giant insects, wolves, bears, and deer are so boring. They can be in the game, I just want there to be a lot more interesting species to discover.

11. NPCs treating you like you deserved to be. A noble altruistic warrior should be subject to praise while a thief should be looked down upon. The savior of the world shouldn't be mocked by a town guard.

12. I want more utility spells and more interesting ways to travel throughout the world. The utility spells will contribute to the more interesting methods of travel alongside more interesting and unique mounts. I want to see a lot less horses and variants of them. Ideally for me, there would only be the fan favorites Shadowmere and Arvark, alongside one that's just kinda normal for those who want to travel without attracting attention to themselves. Perhaps one of the vampire clans I mentioned could sprout wings and fly, but flying is something that should be relatively late game and if included have ways to make the enemies and characters below still able to interact with the player.

13. Staffs should level up the magic tree they correspond to, at the very least. Ideally, they're totally overhauled to be a tool a Mage uses to amplify their own magic and to use their magic it ways not possible through simply channeling it through your hands.

Going back to utility spells, I just want more of them. I want a lot more, and I want all of them to be at least arguably useful with a small portion of those spells having use in combat. For example, Telekinesis should be able to work on creatures.

That's all I have in mind for now. I may add to this post and when I do I'll leave a comment to notify those interested.

Just having consequences for your actions would be great. Like, you have a decision at the end of a quest. Kill a guy and receive a powerful weapon or spare him and contend with a small wave of baddies. There should be the immediate effect, where in you either get the weapon or fend off foes, and then a long term one. So if you save the guy he has a courier track you down to inform you that he may know of another powerful weapon for you to obtain, along with a small gold sum. If you killed him, then something else happens.

Far larger towns. Maybe 5x as big. Remember Balmora?

Ocean waves. Big ones.

Better water overall. Skyrim improved it a lot But long way to go.

I feel the same, but I doubt it will be as bad as we think it will. We just need to have standards and hold Bethesda to them.

I made an addition about utility spells and traveling to the original post.

That would be very cool. The towns in Skyrim fell a little flat. Speaking of the ocean, how about underwater ruins and maybe even a secret civilization? Make that Argonian water breath actually worth a damn.

Combat definitely needs improvements, but I have never given it enough thought.

No more ponies. Ponies make me angerous.

I haven't invested too much time in the game, so I am not sure what that entails. Don't spoil anything if you wish to give an example.

I'd like a new skyrim to have more creatures in it. Like more monsters, character races, and such.

More emphasis on the RPG aspect of it would be nice. And howabout a permadeath mode?

Make Hearthfire actually good? How about having my children age, or at least go to school and get bullied or something? That way I can actually be a realistic dad (as realistic as a giant cat can be) and do something about it. Like fist fight his dad in a bar!

Hmm...How about more control over the storyline? Like if I could go the Mr Stormcloak route and kill someone of importance, and have the storyline bend in a different direction.

Is it me, or does skyrim seem bland in terms of color (vanilla)? How about making the game look more like Oblivion, and bring the whimsy back via colors?

Yes, remember Balmora, the city where every house looked the same and every character had no character. I agree that the cities could be improved, but Morrowind really isn't where we should look for inspiration.

A secret/undiscovered civilization I'd say is rather stretching it, but underwater ruins and improved shipwrecks would be great. Pretty much all of the provinces would be ok with this, and we'd get to see a whole new cast of enemies and creatures. The only problem I can see with it is that it takes the Argonians useless trait and turns it into a godly advantage.

"New SKYRIM" *facedesk*

Sorry, I just hate when people do that. Anyways, since Morrowind the series' lore has been pretty stable, so I doubt they'd add more playable races. And a permadeath mode wouldn't really be needed, especially considering the fact if wouldn't know if you died of a glitch or something.

One thing I'd like to see is the Daedra variety from Morrowind and Oblivion returned. In them you had different ranks of Dremora, spider Daedra, Clanfears, scamps, the atronachs, Daedroth, ogrims, twilights, Golden Saints, Dark Seducers, xivilai, and I'm sure a few others I'm forgetting, than in Skyrim we get one Dremora and the atronachs.

Underwater monsters to fight. Not slaughterfish. Was so disappointed that I wasn't attacked by anything while swimming in the ocean. Not even a whale to spot. It's like the sea is one big dead zone.
There was the time the sabercat ambushed me from under the water while I was walking the beach, but it just isn't the same.
