Is the Slaughterfish of Doom vanilla game or is it caused by a mod?
I killed the thing while goofing around near Falkreath and I'm sort of confused as to whether it's part of a mod I have or in the game itself.

Yeah, that's a mod. If you want to find out which, click on it in the console and make a note of the first two characters, that should correspond to the mod's point in the load order (if you're using NMM you may need to convert the number to decimal as IIRC it's in hex.)

Thing is, I don't have anything that would directly put that into the game.

If you can't find it from the world, then do following.
- Open console
- Type: help "Slaughterfish of Doom

This should give it's ID as well.

Mod number 7 is "Daedric Punishment for Insults Related to Sweetrolls"
This makes no sense.

I've been searching on the internet and I can't find any data about the thing at all. Nothing about the mod causing it, nothing. Only mentions..?

You may be watching the wrong file. The ID does not point to load order position, but in to Mod Index position. Wast the index number 07?

Ah, sorry, I was assuming you'd just killed it and could go and look at the corpse. In that case, yeah, Ilja's suggestion should work.

Can you post your full load order? Got any mods that are *supposed* to add new monsters?
Ilja May 22, 2016 @ 5:22am
I just got my MO open (I was doing DynDOLOD).
That's strange. Index position 07 is indeed the same than priority position 7.

That's true in Mod Organiser but looking at NMM I think it's the other way round? MO has priority/mod index in decimal/hex whereas NMM has load order/index in hex/decimal.

I forgot that. Haven't used NMM in a while.

Yeah, I only keep the poor thing around for Morrowind...

I don't have any mod organizers..
Anyway, I'll post my load order.

Do you have this mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=188609421 It mentions "fishing by the Sunken Tower" and another mention of the Slaughterfish of Doom suggests it has the key for the 'Sunken Tower' in its belly/inventory, so I'm guessing Better Fast Travel might add both.

Yes, this is it. I used to have this, and the modder has added a huge tower and dragon-sized slaughterfish to lake Ilinata. Cute, but 'ruins' the view.
