Uthgerd the brawl killer?

I was fistfighting with Uthgerd the Unbroken in the Bannered Mare. Midway through the fight I used the Elemental Fury shout (the one that makes you swing your weapons, in my case my fists, faster). She said "You want a real fight, eh?" and pullled out her greatsword and stabbed me to death.

Why the heck did that happen?

Just so you know, noone else was aggresive. It didn't count as an attack, I didn't get a bounty, she just got pissed off and killed me.

Shouts are considered magic, you broke the fists only rule.

Whenever you use magic or weapons, it's considered an assault. You get a bounty, everyone starts screaming and guards come to arrest you. However, Healing does not trigger this effect. My guess is that it's because Healing is a self-centered spell. Elemental Fury, whether considered a spell or not, is still self-centered, meaning it's effects are put on the player and nobody else. Therefore I thought it would not trigger this effect. And it didn't. I didn't get a fine, nobody started screaming, guards didn't come, just Utgherd said "You want a real fight, eh?", then pulled out her Greatsword and killed me. Nobody else was involved, nobody else was aggresive. Therefore I suspect it was not me breaking rules of a brawl, but rather some feature from one of the mods I have. The only ones that come to mind, though, are Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, and Cutting Room Floor - Legendary Edition. I've been using them before and never experienced such behavior. That's why I wrote this thread.

do you have the brawl bugs mod? the compatibility edition is buggy as duk and doesn't work rght for the most part sum1 uploaded a patch on that page to sumwhat help it but i always just use the standard edition

No, I do not have that mod.

if you don't have any mods other then the unnoficial patches you don't need brawl bugs mod but if you have lots of mods you almost will def require it or your gonna run into things like brawls ending in the middle of a fight and not getting paid when betting on brawls among other issues

He is referencing the fact that Ulfric is known not only as the leader of the storm cloaks, but by "ripping the high king of skyrim apart with his voice." The guards talk about it every once in a while, when they aren't getting hit by arrows or returning sweetrolls.

You cheated, it's a fistfight and using shouts, weapons or magic is cheating. Simple really.

I have 31 mods. Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, Unofficial High Resolution Patch, SkyUI, XCE - Xenius Character Improvement, XCE - Dawnguard, Pure Waters, Pure Weathers, No Killmoves, Alternate Start - Live Another Life, Ars Metalica - Legendary Edition, Bring Out Your Dead - Legendary Edition, Cutting Room Floor - Legendary Edition, Dragon Claw Stands, Storefront, and almost every other mod made my Arthmoor.

I usually use the Slow Time shout during brawls and never have this happen. Maybe some shouts cause agro...
