Blindsighted - Game crashing the moment I leave Bronze Water Cave
So, I know that there are multiple glitches in the Blindsighted quest (Thieves Guild, falmer eyes, you know the one), but I haven't been able to find threads for this one anywhere, so I'm worried I'm the only person who has experienced it. Hence, thread.

Basically, every time I try to leave Bronze Water Cave, my game instantly crashes. No explanation or anything. I don't know what's causing it. I've reloaded multiple past saves to the same problem.

Please, if you have any explanations, I want to know. Hell, even console commands to teleport me out would help.

whenever you search for info just type UESP infront of the search giving you :_
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Blindsighted
For descriptions and bug reports.

I did look through and your description isn't among them

So my suggestion ... is to firstly verify your skyrim files by going to skyrim properties local verify cache. Let steam verify your files to make sure there aren't any missing. It will always find one missing file which is normal. If it finds more then there were files missing.

Second load a save before going to Irkngthand. ...complete any quests that are pending needing to be done. After doing those quest go to a small bedroom, and SLEEP for a Month. That will reset a lot of skyrim; and clear some issues that may surround Bronze Water Cave for you!

Then and only then reenter and complete the blindsighted quest. That gives you the best possible chance of keeping a stable Skyrim and enjoying the game for a long time.

If after actually going through all that ... if you still have issues that web site has Quest stages that can be used .... but only use those as an absolute last resort.

Sorry for my incompetence, but where would I find that? I'm looking in the C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim and can't find it anywhere.

As for the save-loading plan, I'll make sure to try that out and see if it works!

1. Open Steam
2. Right-click on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
3. Select "Properties"
4. Go to the tab "Local Files"
5. Click on "Validate Integrity of Game Cache"

Update: verifying skyrim files fixed it. Thank you very much for helping! :steamhappy:

Excellent and thanks for telling us that.
So next time you have a problem use these techniques so get skyrim to be as stable as possible! Or you see someone with a similar issue be just as helpful with your knowledge and experience.
