Falmer hunting!

Long story short, I have a big box in my 'home' that i'm trying to pile as high with Falmer ears as I can. That means killing lots and lots and ~lots~ of falmer, since they aren't guaranteed to provide any ears when they're killed.

With that in mind, which area has the most falmer in it? I've tried the wiki and UESP, and while both of them tell me which ones ~have~ falmer, neither of them say which place has most.

Blackreach has a good number of them.

I've never done a full count-up, but Shimmermist Cave stands out in my memory as having more than most places.

Probably not as many as you'll find by romping through the Forgotten Vale, mind you. Hard to say.

I could google it where it not for my computer being a pain. Is Shimmermist the cave for finding the Aetherium ? The Aetherium questline leads through a few dwarven ruins with falmer.

No, Shimmermist is only tied to radiant quests.

You'll be thinking of either Arkngthamz or Raldbthar.

Unfortunately there aren't more than a handful in any one location. Off the top of my head I think you run into more of them completing the thieves guild quest at Irkngthand than anywhere else. There are also quite a few in Solstiem, but the hidden Vale is your best bet

I agree with Blackreach having a decent amount of of them.

Darkfall cave has a lot. Shimmermist is the one jusr NE of Whiterun.

I forget what its called, Nchardnak? Under Markarth has a pretty high concentration of them.

Tholvald's Cave or something like that.
Nearly the biggest falmer cave.
Or the Bottomless Pit, or something like that, wich leads to a big dwarven ruin.
Also Blackreach.
