Aetherium Forge Problem

So I got all the shards and now have to find the forge. Once i fast travel to the location, i deal with the 3 bandits that basically guard it. Only problem is that Katria isn't there and when i place the shards and take the thing. the game tells me to stand clear. I get into the spot and nothing happens. I uncheck marked all my mods and still the same thing happnes. I just want to get it over with so I can get the aetherium items.

backup your saves and reinstall

Don't reinstall, that's an extreme fix.

You can try summoning Katria to your location with the console: (replace xx with the load order of the Dawnguard DLC)

prid xx006754
moveto player

If that doesn't work, you can also try resetting the stage of the quest using the console setstage command for the quest DLC1LD.

The stages are listed here[www.uesp.net], and it seems 160 or 170 may be the one you need. Try the earlier ones first, of course.

Save your game before doing any of this so you can revert to a previous save if this breaks the quest for some reason.

Thank you Mephitic. I did somewhat work. Although the quest finished and now I'm able to use the Aetherium Forge. The won't disappear from my journal. Another wierd thing that happen was that fast traveled away and rode back and the tower lifted but the quests wouldn't really continue unless i used the commands. either way i just wanted to be able to use the forge and I thank you
