Follower quick commands not working

For some reason when I hover over my companion and hold interact, the quick command mode doesn't activate, doesn't matter how long I hold the button.
I really doubt this is a mod compatability thing, but on the off chance it is I have the following mods installed:
Archery Gameplay Overhaul
VioLens
SkyUI and SKSE
Werewolf Mastery
Bijin Wives
Gwynbleidd
Balanced magic
and others that I can remember the names of right now.
Just any help on getting this sorted would be appreciated, as it's just a big hassle having to go through the dialogue.

Do you use LOOT to sort your load order? After running LOOT be sure to click on the button in the upper right that says "Sort" when hovered over, then click "Apply" once it appears.

I have used LOOT to sort the load order AND cleaned the mods and main files as is suggested on the LOOT readme file, still no luck in getting it to work.

Not a good idea to clean mods, I would recommend reinstalling them to undo the cleaning. Some mods require the dirty edits in order to work. Only clean mods if the mod author states that it is safe to do so. Cleaning the master files is ok and recommended. When you cleaned the masters did you clean them one at a time?

Yeah I watched the tutorial on the TES5 edit page to do it to make sure I didn't mess it up any more than it already is, what I find weird though is I can still pick things up and move them by holding E, which strikes me as kind of odd that that hasn't stopped working too.

One is dialogue, the other is physics, two different systems, same key. Posting your load order will help. In LOOT upper right click on the three dots and choose copy load order.

What mod management tool do you use? Once we get your voices back you should use the unofficial patch USLEEP.

I don't use a mod manager which could be the problem lol

That very well could be it, installation order. You may want to start over. Check out the pinned thread Player Spreadsheet it has the information you need to get things going right.

Right I have done a clean wipe of my skyrim mods and base game data, cleaned the main game files again and reinstalled all my mods using NMM, after all that it still isn't working so at this point I've given up, though in all honesty it's not a huge problem as I rarely use followers, it was more a convenience to use their infinite carry weight glitch to move my stuff to my new house. Thanks for at least trying to help though
