xp32 maximum skeleton extended MANUAL INSTALL???
I'm getting a little desperate here. Nothing I seem to do works. All I want is to sheath both my swords on my back in the style of Geralt in the first Witcher game. That's all I bloody want to do. And apparantly to do that I need this Skeleton thing. I tried downloading it but it's just a jumble of folders with "meshes" folders in them and I have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO to get it to work.
Can anyone help me with this?
(PS, I refuse to use the Nexus Mod Manager. I hate that thing, could never get it to work for even the most simple mods!)

You need a mod manager to properly keep track (manage) the mods you install.

Here's a video that will go step by step on how to set it up (its a series, so watch video 2 and 3, etc..)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_3885761369&feature=iv&index=1&list=PLE7DlYarj-DdGbu7-Chui4ZQuZZCGbpWl&src_vid=ClqtmSUsFhg&v=xVfr9pWO6xE

There's also Mod Organizer (another mod manager), but is usually even more technical than NMM; so start w/ NMM first.

Once you got NMM installed, then you can install anything! Including your skelly mod.

Well like I said, I have tried the manager before but found it overly confusing. I actually still have it installed. Will it still work even though I've a number of mods from Nexus that I installed manually?

You should see in this screenshot that I get this weird message when I start the game.

The mod has kind of worked, but I still can't see my second sword.
Going by what I was sold, I should be able to see the other sword on my back, crossing the other one. What's gone wrong here exactly?

Assuming the mods were installed correctly, yes. In order to get two swords on your back you need xp32 extended and dual sheath redux. A mod organizer is highly recommended. I understand the frustration with the complexity of one at first but once you learn how to use it it's worth it. I've heard mod organizer is great but personally i'm too lazy to transfer mods and i don't understand the interface. Anyways, i would recommend downlaoding nexus mod manager and going onto nexus and downloading the mods you need with the button "download with manager". Once the mod downloads it'll show up greyed out in the manager. Click on it and then the green check to install and enable the mod. Some mods (such as xp32) have installation menus. Just choose what you prefer and it'll install. Read the installation instructions for dual sheath redux as it requires some other things to be done other than just installing. I use nexus mod manager and I have about 160+ mods installed and my game runs great.

You don't have dual sheath redux installed. You need that to have two weapons on your body :P. Xp32 is required but dual sheath is what enables having two swords on your back.
I do have it installed. Wtf? The hell is "SkyProc patcher"?

You were already given the answer, go to the dual sheath redux modpage and re-read the installation instructions.

Go to your skyrim folder. Go to data. Then SkyProc Patchers. Then Dual Sheath Redux Patch. Run the patch.

Yes, I found that exact file, but when I run it it tries to run in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ windows media player. How exactly does one run this patch. Literally every source I find just says "run it" with no explanation of HOW. Please remember, I am MAD NEW to all this bull crap. I literally only started modding 3 DAYS AGO.

lol sounds like your in for a nightmare call it quits while you can before you invest to much time in modding that you can't go back anymore. with skyrim it takes a lot of love and patience to figure out how to mod properly in other words it will consume your life. and if you refuse to use a mod manager just don't bother modding if you can't figure out how to use a mod manager good luck figuring out modding.

I think I may do that, but it may already be too late in terms of not investing too much time.

Well dual sheath redux does tell you that you need java to run the patch, if its trying to run in something thats not java I can only assume that either you dont have java or have for some reason changed the default program.

If you dont have java then its entirely on you, as its listed as a requirement and is even a hyperlink.

If you have it and it is atleast the minimum required version, then try right clicking the dual sheath redux patch.jar file and selecting open with -> choose default program, then clicking on java if its there or browse if not and navigating to the java install path (the default for me in win 7 was in c:/program files (x86)/java/jre1.8.0_101/bin/java.exe)

1. Install your skeleton mods
2. Extract the filesfrom XP32 to your /Data Folder. They're already in the appropriate folders and Windows will merge them appropriately.
3. Open up /Data/SkyProc Patchers
4. Run the appropriate .bat file
5. Rerun the .bat file if you add more mods that require Skeleton harmonization.

There are install instructions included. Your problem is that you are not READing THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS.

+1 and why help somebody who doesn't wants to learn, he spends more time on this thread typing then actually reading the mod pages...
