Best race for templar build

I've always loved paladins or templars in RPG games. So, I want to make a templar build in Skyrim. Which race is the best for templars lore-wise? Btw I am new to TES lore

Best races for paladins/templars is the breton. They get a nice little resistance to magic and are generally a flexable race. If your leaning towards a tougher race redguards and imperials make great knights too. Lore wise the imperials have usually filled the role of the knights/paladins in the world, as well as the nords (the ones who dont become straight up barbarians).

If you want to be an arrow sponge, be Argonian. Histskin can make you regenerate health really quickly.

It depends on what you mean by "Templar". In real life they were very very different from Paladins, and come from completely different eras. If you just want a knight, then make a knight (sword, shield, heavy armor).

That'd depend on if you're leaning more towards the knight side or towards restoration. Either way I reffer you to read up on the lore on uesp.net. It will also help anyone who is planning any kind of character on there.
