Would a restoration/conjuration/alteration fighter be viable?
Just out of curiosity

Should be viable but you might want to bring a follower to tank for you

you could even bring a bow to attack enemies from a distance while your summon goes melee on the enemy

But if he wants to go for conjuration he can just go a bound bow.

I'm running a sword and board mage at the moment, and it's pretty fun. I'm wearing robes to make blocking more important.

sir, no offence but if you cant win against alduin with a pickaxe and a healing spell you definitly shoudl consider retiring from gaming

as for the original topic:

conjuration 100 with perks master = 2 deadric lords,
resto gives you wards and huge heals, dont rely on master spells they take for ever to cast, that way you can always have your pets up and heal yourself
alteration has mitigation effects and good perks
teamed with crafting you can siomply be a monster

Yes. Why wouldn't it be? If you're going to be a fighter, then you'll be face to face in combat, meaning you want good armor. Using Alternation spells is fine, but as a fighter you may want real armor underneath your magical armor.

My character is level 19 and Alduin is dead in my Skyrim. This is with a fighter/mage/thief. Yes, Alduin is fairly easy. Sometimes it's fun to never level up and kill Alduin at level 1.

Considering you can apply smithing to pickaxes it would not be impossible to ohko him with a mighy pickaxe (let alone with an enchanted one).

Conjuration is a good solid tree for any build with flame atronauchs for killing slaughterfish underwater and Daedra Lords for general killing sprees.

Alteration has the transmute for early gold and smithing skill and later gets the highly lethal paralysis.

Restoration is ok but not vital.

I agree. I took him with a level 14 khajit one handed/destruction, on adept. And i'm not even that good at the game (got killed 7 times in a row by the same freakin troll).

I dont see any sense in such threads. Skyrim is not mmo, who the fk needs "builds" in it? You can get 100 every skill. Also trying to min-max character in singleplayer game is ridiculous
