[Solved] Character constantly 'T-poses' when using FNIS with Mod Organizer
i recently installed a couple of mods that use FNIS (because some are not appropriate i shall not list them here, more info below). i did the normal steps: i enabled the mods that needed FNIS in MO, ran FNIS and updated the FNIS Behavior (with GENDER and SKELETON patches), installed the file's from the Overwrite folder in MO, enabled them and tried them. when trying them they would not work, my character would just stand there in a T-pose. all added animations would not work, only vanilla animations would work (running, jumping, swinging a weapon, etc.). if it may help anyone figure this out, some animation mods had a V?.? behind the mod name and i'm using the XPMSE skeleton. i have tried so much! i tried running FNIS outside of MO, which did f*ck all, and i tried an older version of FNIS (6.2 instead of 6.3).the last thing that i have yet to try is NMM to see if that works, but it would be really annoying to constantly use NMM to install FNIS instead of using MO for this.

i also visited the mod page for FNIS and found out that the mod author for FNIS has dropped support for MO and actually reccomends me using NMM and as said earlier, i would rather not....

does someone either know a (better) way of using/installing FNIS or have a solution? it would be really appreciated :steamhappy:

also, even the animations that come with FNIS make my character T-pose. just putting that out there.

do you think it could be some HDT mods that aren't compatible?
Ilja Aug 13, 2016 @ 12:09pm
If you are using XPMSE, HDT and picked Skeleton Rig Map (HDT) from XPMSE installation menu, then HDT should not be the problem. I am using HDT and XPMSE myself.

Your FNIS report looks all correct to me. I have fixed several problems with FNIS, but for once I am clueless what the heck is going on. Report shows no errors and no warnings, initializing SL manually did not work and it seems that FNIS is added properly to MO.

Is XPMSE loosing any conflicts in your left panel? Any at all?

Can you post your loadorder over at LL?
Fnis and MO do work flawless if you install it correct.
Ilja Aug 13, 2016 @ 12:28pm
Yeah. If nothing is not conflicting with XPMSE, then this looks more and more a conflict with one of LL mods, or something that Fore needs to deal with.

I just hate to admit that. This would be the first time I fail with MO and FNIS, but that day had to become sooner or later.

There goes my ego. :X

@Uncle64. Drop by the Coffee Room thread, if you wish to jump in to our new project.

I think it is one of the LL mods, have had some serius issues my self whit one of them.
More easy to look at the loadlist there.

XPMSE has actually got a conflict, but that is with the Dawnguard DLC :P.
and, i will post my load order on LL shortly

Which one is winning the conflict? If XPMSE is winning it then that is not the cause. That would be the vampire lord skeleton NIF and XPMSE should indeed win the conflict against it.

If it is loosing the conflict, then that would be problem, though hardly something to cause T-poses like this in the start.

Hmmm dawnguard you say?

I use NMM but I think maybe I let my vampire mods overwrite xpmse for the Vampire skeletons.

You could try doing that.

Try Better Vampires or custom vampire replacer, which you can find on lovers lab.

ok, so i went around and went looking for LOOT, which i have never used until now. if it is a loadorder problem it is now fixed. if it is a problem with 'dirty' file's (a couple of installed mods were listed as this in LOOT) i will try installing and cleaning them using TES5Edit. if that doesn't solve it it's definitely done for today and i will most likely try everything i and/or we can come up with (with we i mean everybody that is willing to help).

and, not to forget, thanks to everyone for the help until now ;)

Those vampire skeletons were used as part of XPMSE node system, due to support of SOS.

Only thing that happens allowing them to overwrite XPMSE is to reduce the number of files and nodes XPMSE has, not add to it, or make it any more compatible.

I do not recommend cleaning mods, unless mod authors or forum regulars especially recommend doing so. The problem here is that most modern mod authors are aware of them, so often those edits are needed.

Sadly, mod authors do not always understand to comment their mods, so that LOOT could need which edits are useless and actually required. So, cleaning mods may require a bit of detective work.

About LOOT. Did I not link you my load order post? I was sure that I did.

Too many discussions for one day. I am getting all mixed up. :p

i think i need to at least put it out here, i have actually installed the Prison Overhaul mod, every time i start a new game a message pops up telling me that it is tested with SL1.59 and that it detects SL1.62 and that it thus is unknown to work correctly. could this be the cause? also, i'm not going to use TES5Edit (i have installed it before looking at the reply above). i shall try uninstalling PO and updating FNIS tomorrow and report back :)
Ilja Aug 13, 2016 @ 2:20pm
Prison Overhaul is old. I understand that you indeed need Inte's patch, or it will not be compatible with up to date mods.

I haven't played it myself, but as far as I have followed the conversation, Inte's addons can be turned on/off from MCM, so you could only use it as a compatibility patch for XPO, if you do not want additions.

But this conversation would indeed belong to another forum. We have agreed with Steam moderators not to advertise direct adult mods in this forum.

hello, gud morning XD, i've put some thought in today and was like, could it be Papyrus? i know that there is a mod to extend it but i haven't installed it with MO yet
Uncle64 Aug 14, 2016 @ 3:38am
Papyrus?
yes, you need those support mods. But I dont think that is your issue.
Check my response over at the other site.
