Possible Valenwood Information! (Not a ♥♥♥♥)
This is not a ♥♥♥♥, it is lore.
I was reading some lore in the bards college, a couple seconds ago, when I came across 'Immortal Blood.' The ending was not important to me however, but the information about vampire clans. So this makes sense, I'll provide a recap. This book is written by an anonymous author, who was the main priest in a chapel. He was visited by a Fighters Guild trainer, who asked for information on different vampire tribes. The information inside was invaluable to me, since I was looking for some decent lore. It mentions different vampire clans in Valenwood, which made me consider: what if this is related to the upcoming game? I think it would be a concept the developers would make use of, seeing as in these games factions fighting seems common, such as Dawnguard and the DLC for Solthiem in Morrowind. A war between rival factions would be interesting, since it mentions more than two clans, so possibly there could be alliances and betrayals to make it more engaging. Another possibility for this would be the multiple choices that makes RPGs different to any other genre, which means that it provides situations where dialogue is as useful as a Daedric Artifact. Role-playing games usually have a combination of this and combat, unlike a game fully controlled by your actions and choices. If you are going to complain about this thread simply being a theory with no backup, I honestly agree. But at the present stage, we don't have many sources. I hope you guys liked my theory. If you have a theory of your own, I'd love to hear them, if you could comment them.

The book Immortal Blood was also in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which came out well before they were thinking about the plot of Elder Scrolls V much less that of Elder Scrolls VI.

Valenwood would be difficult to do while remaining true to their own lore. I mean how are they gonna handle the migrating trees? I think the next Elder Scrolls will be set in the Summerset Isles, the Thalmor have a large part in the current lore, and are very powerful right now. I would also love to see some more intersting ship mechanics, if they do Summerset Isles they have too may scattered islands to not do SOMTHING with ships.

ya, it came out long before skyrim was even thought of so the chances of Bethesda thinking any time ahead to tes6 is nil.

I don't even think they have started TES6. and no any kind of discussion on these forums will NOT influence anything they do. Not even fixing their own bugs and glitches.

They didn't even keep the Skyrim vampires consistent with the book, aside from the name Volkihar and I guess the frost resistance may be a weak imitation of the "hiding under frozen lakes" thing...

Sorry, didn't notice that.

♥♥♥♥ or fake? There's a lot of convincing fakes out there, and until Bethesda comes out and confirms something, I basically just consider all "leaks" to be fake until proven otherwise.

Personally, Valenwood? Meh. I'm not a fan of the Wood Elves at all. High Elves are more interesting to me, both as protagonists and antagonists. Dark Elves... well we already explored their culture in a previous game.

Summerset hasn't received any representation since Arena, and it would be neat to see it updated. So far, we've seen a world of religion (Morrowind), a world of politics (Cyrodiil), and a world of warriors (Skyrim). Now I want to see a world of wizards - I want to see something close to the Telvanni, but encompassing an *entire* culture. And of course, I want to see what Altmer architecture looks like.

THAT is the alien world I wish to see, not necessarily mushrooms and flying jellyfish (though I'm not knocking it.)

Technically speaking, Skyrim was planned to be the fifth game in the series as early as Daggerfall.
Whether they had planned the plot ahead of time, I don't know. From what I've read, though, they did, in fact, plan some of it, at least.

I badly want TES VI to be in Alinor/Summerset, possibly involvement in a resistance movement against the Thalmor - not some dumbass militia rebellion, more political manoeuvring and so on. Altmer are about my favourite race (though I love Dunmer and Bretons, too) and, yeah, pretty much what you said, really.

Argonians are mine. I think Blackmarsh would still be an awesome setting (not to mention, if they can make the Nerevarine become immune to Corprus' ill effects in Morrowind, they can find some way to make the player immune to whatever plague makes it impossible to reach the center of Blackmarsh for non-Argonians)

But Summerset has the most potential right now. Blackmarsh might work as DLC.

Part of me really wants a game set in Black Marsh, part of me really really hopes it's not TESVI simply because of all the people who've been bleating on about it being a totally true announced confirmed thing, and who would somehow think that if TESVI:Argonia does happen that it's evidence of them being right, rather than, you know, stopped clocks are right twice a day type thing. (Also I kinda hope they get a new engine before tackling Black Marsh, and, well, that ain't likely for TESVI...)

It is true that most leaks recently are fake, however this ♥♥♥♥ was a photo of a contract mentioning keeping Bethseda's projects secret. However, it also mentioned Fallout 4's NukaWorld DLC BEFORE Bethseda announced it. Which means that they either predicted a DLC or they are legit. There is a very small chance that they actually scanned the game code for Fallout (I hear it would take about two months to do) and found the DLC, since someone actually did that later on. Also, I would love to see Valenwood. It is said to have giant trees that house their cities. Imagine defending that against an army, like in the civil war! I think that would be awesome, but it's just my opinion. And also, while we are on the topic of Summerset Isle, it would probably be a fight against Sloads, who the lore mentions as the worst race on Nirn. Once they made a disease so deadly, it killed half of Tamriel's population. Think of an army of Jabba the Hutts. That is basically the Sloads.

Skyrim Physics engine was actually okay, but exploitable.
I saw the photo mentioned:

Certainly the reference to the NukaWorld data file was found in FO4's code prior to the DLC's announcement.

Regarding the vampires thing, that's more of a... reverse ♥♥♥♥? Morrowind had different tribes of vampires. Oblivion and then Skyrim didn't, until they were sorta-reintroduced with Dawnguard.
The sad thing about the newer games since morrowind is the lore. Most of the books in Oblivion and Skyrim were in Morrowind or Daggerfall plus a lot more. They weren't things you could actually see in the game usually, but it created an atmposhere of all the places that weren't in the game. There's a ton of lore, mosnters, expansive locales, and everything else they could draw upon, but they won't. There's even weresharks mentioned in a book, doubt they'll ever do that. They've consistently removed and streamlined features with each new relase. TESVI might be Call of Duty: Summerset Isle the way things are going.

since hardware is kind of at a plateau right now, and disk space/ RAM has become more important again, they should just have a contintent sized game. I'd gladly eat up a terabyte of space for the entire contient to be rendered at a skyrim or obvlion scale. Slightly shiner graphics doesn't make up for removing content that used to take literal years to get through if desired.
