OP'd Orc Bandit Thug in Greymoor
I am encountering a very overpowered (high damage and health tank) Orc Bandit Thug inside fort Greymoor (in the left room as you walk through the front entrance) anyone else encountered this? been so long since I've played I don't know if he is supposed to be that tough or not. I don't use any mods that affect NPC's aside from the Ultimate Follower Overhaul.

Nothing out of the ordinary with the occasionally strong bandit, even in vanilla.

It's just I have Iron Armor, Iron Boots, Iron Helmet, Iron Shield and I'm using a Mod added Sword (Norland) that does 14 damage base and he swings at me 4 times with a warhammer and kills me oh well might use TGM to kill him, though I don't like to cheat :(

What level are you? if you're in basic iron gear like that, but have leveled too high, you'll find more NPCs stronger than you're equipped to handle. IIRC, they get stronger when you hit lvl 10, so by then you want to be working on better equipment, enchantments, alchemy, etc.

Rather than TGM, try this...

Go out toward Honingbrew meadery, collect all the plants, but specifically some blue mountain flower. At the Battleborn farm, there's wheat you can harvest.

Go to Farengar in Dragonsreach. Ask him if he's the only mage around, (or similarly worded) and he will give you something to deliver to the alchemist. Deliver it and most of her goods change from 'steal' to "take," as you are now her friend. Take a canis root and an imp stool. (Be careful, as there are still a few 'steal' goods sprinkled in between the 'take's. Combine that to make a paralysis potion.

Combine your blue mountain flower and wheat to make a health potion. This one will not only restore health, but will increase your health for a time as well. Make a few of those. Take one before battle with the bandit, and more as needed. Poison your sword with the paralysis potion.

Dance with the orc. Watch for him to wind up, jump back so he misses, then slip in and pop him when you can. If he's too close to miss, do a quick shield bash (tap, not hold) and it will interrupt his attack, so you can pop him. When he falls over, paralyzed, hammer him.

Special attack w/ 1H sword: Tap once, then push & hold. This will combine a normal attack and a power attack, as one. It eats stamina, but does solid damage. Use as many of these as you can, while he's paralyzed.

If you want to up the ante just a bit, you can block/bash with a torch, instead of a shield, which will set him on fire too.

Finally, buy conjure flame atronach, and use it before battle. Nobody's as badass when they're on fire.

This orc is like several levels higher then me, even with a Steel Battleaxe he takes 5-8 hits to kill and he has hide armor, he has the health tank of a bandit leader+ then again I have a mod that adds a high level Theives Guild Master outside of Riverwood (not what the mod is supposed to do, and the mod author never removed it), perhaps this mod has changed the health of other NPC's as well and I do recall running into an Orc at the watchtower on my way to Bleak Falls barrow with a similar health level so it could be this mod, as difficulty is set to normal and all other enemies thus far are two/Three-shotable, with Iron Arrows and in sneak mode.

I just used TGM as I kept dying, I don't mind making those exceptions I just hope I don't have to do it often.

Get paralysis staff, and your best one hand weapon and give him the old 1,2.

lol
This problem you face is no problem at all.
Everytime I come down the street from Helgen to Riverwood that you walk in vanilla, somewhere along the road at the river a high level Thief sits therewith good Thieves Guild Armour and a bow. He 3HKs me with the bow. And he stands there every time. It`s hell for a lvl 1 Character.

Anbd even better, there`s a high lvl Orc Robber at the tower on the way to Bleak Falls Barrow. He wears Orc Armour except helmet and swings a 2 handed weapon. He has way too much health and 2HKs me.

These are problems.

Actually the Thieves Guild Master thief is added by the "Castle Grey" Mod I confirmed it a while back after deactivating the mod, not to mention I played several vanilla playthrough's before modding and never ran into any humanoid enemies on the road to riverwood, always just wolves also there is no mention of such a encounter/bug in either the Skyrim Wikia nor the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages.
