Isn't vanilla skyrim un-lore friendly??
So, I vividly remember in the previous TES games mention of skyrim would lead you to believe that the entire province is cold and unforgiving with the exception of Markarth. And that was the only place that had successful farms. But the thing is, there's like; two provinces in the game that have snow at all and EVERY HOLD has at least 3 ♥♥♥♥ing farms.

Also, in Oblivion I heard plenty about Oblivion gates not being exclusive to Cyrodiil. Shouldn't there be remnants of gates to Oblivion sprinkled in some areas on the map?

I also recall seeing tavern wenches in concept art. While the clothing for wenches is still present in the game, there's only about two unique NPCs who actually wear them. I'd imagine that tavern wenches would be a commodity in every tavern except for more sophisticated ones like The Winking Skeever.

Therefore, I'm thinking maybe we could get a mod that could fix all these issues and make a more beautiful and keep it stable & open to third-party retextures. Tell me what you guys think. Any improvements, nitpicks, ect.

That STILL has snow.
No it doesn't, but even when assuming you're right, that still leaves 3 locations that aren't snowy that should be.
Take a look at this map of skyrim

I'm pretty sure you don't remember how snowy skyrim is, with all the fast traveling.

I don't use fast travel. I literally just showed you proof and you're making an ad hominem attack. I'm curious, why are you acting so pissed off? was me proposing skyrim's not as lore-friendly as it's made out to be personally attacking you?

It's really not that big a deal. Think of real-life comparisons. Russia has a reputation of being crazy cold. Everyone talks about how frigid Siberia is or how invincible "General Winter" is. But if you go there, you find out it's not 100% true. Yes, there's plenty of cold there, but there's also places that are pretty temperate- or even hot. There's tundra, taiga, swamps, etc. Skyrim's probably the same way. Among other people, it's got a reputation as being unimaginably cold, even though in reality it's more temperate and varied.

hmm.. you do have a point. for some odd reason, screenshots from TESA don't have much snow in them, but the map does. Regardless, I still think a landscape mod based on my idea would be interesting. I'm no expert with the CK, but I may be able to create it myself.

Just because every inch of Skyrim isn't covered in snow doesn't mean it's not frigid and cold. A place can be cold and not covered in snow all year round. Much of Skyrim is tundra. Look at this album, for instance.[imgur.com] These are tundras. These are some of the northernmost areas of the world short of the Arctic. These places are damn cold all year round and obviously aren't covered in snow. These are the kinds of biomes that much of Skyrim consists of.

Skyrim is not the northernmost part of the world in the Elder Scrolls series. You seem to be under the impression that is it. There is an entire continent north of Tamriel called Atmora.[www.uesp.net] Atmora is a closer equivalence to Earth's arctic regions than Skyrim is. Skyrim is much closer to Canada or northern Europe.

This is a full map of Nirn.[vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net] Atmora is quite a lot farther north than Skyrim.

There's a mod called Skyrim Climate Overhaul Winter Edition that might interest you. I found a download link on Reddit through Google. I'm not sure if it's stable or works. I haven't installed it.

The same author has a Winter Edition of "Enhanced Landscapes". I'm not sure if it's functional, no pictures of snowy stuff.
