Light or heavy armor for a warrior?
i'm wondering if someone wants to be proficient at all kinds of weapons which of the 2 armor skills would suit them better?

i'm wondering which one looks nicer especially with the later armors which one has the most unique sets (i'm not really into powergaming with stuff like enchanting and smithing i'm more of a use what I find in the world instead of crafting kind of person) ?

I favor light because you have the options to sneak and it gives you better carry capacity. I have always figured that no matter which way you go, once you are trained and have all the perks you are pretty tough with either light or heavy armor. It depends on your play style, whether you will use followers (or mode for multiple followers), or mods that you will use.

If you want to charge in at the enemy with weapons 'blazing', go for heavy armor and mod your game with immersive armor mod.

Doesn't matter. Pay attention to your smithing and you'll easily hit the armor cap with either. Now at lower levels, just stepping out of Helgen, heavy it going to help you more. But it soon evens out. In prior TES games with classes, warriors traditionally use heavy, while barbarians traditionally use light. As for which looks nicer, the highest quality light is glass, which looks looks like poo; and the highest quality heavy is daedric, which looks like pee. :-)

Ultimately, it's up to you which you want. Head on over to the UESP wiki and take a look at them.

The only real difference until you get the Steed Stone (or the Unhindered Perk) would be the movement penalty and a hit taken to stamina regen. If you are being an in-your-face tpe of fighter I'd have to recommend heavy armor. Keep in mind that while armor rating can continue to increase even into the tens of thousands with the proper setup, anything beyond 567 (actully 667, because there is hidden bonus for wearing a full set and the game doesn't tell you about it) doesn't help. The lowest I've tested heavy armor for is Orcish and you can reach the armor cap with that, though it requires proper investments in Juggernaut, Well Fitted, and Matching Set.

Light armour is technically better in the long run, though it will take a while to reach its potential. You can reach the armour cap fairly easily with both.

As far as aesthetics is concerned, I think sets like glass and stalhrim are really cool.
I think the deadric armor looks the coolest personally.

Heavy Armor all the way as a warrior.
If you are going to sneak or use a bow, use Light Armor instead.
Heavy Armor has a walking/running speed debuff.

That penalty is removed with the Conditioning perk.

Light armor cause u can run faster and don't use as much stanima.

if ur just using swords/close combat i recommend heavy but if u wanna be good w/ a bow too, light is the way to go

I have a question I was thinking of being a warrior who uses alteration/restoration magic and I was wondering if alteration+light armor= heavy armor

also I noticed that thieves guild gives some pretty cool light armor does the companions guild give any sort of good heavy armor?
Depends on what kind of warrior you are going for? Light armor is mostly for sneaky characters. Plus there's alot of mods out there that make light armor OP and can be on par with heavy armor.

Only thing that is different is the stamina drain and regen.

Eorland will sell you the Companion armor after you finish a few of their quests. I can't remember how many quests you have to do beforehand.

Ebony, Steel Plate, and Blades, all heavy, are my favorite armors for looks in the vanilla game (minus the helmets). You can use alteration flesh spells with heavy armor too for even more protection :)
