Why are the blades so stupid?

The blades want me to kill Paarthurnax incase he goes back to being evil. But if they think I can kill him then why not wait until he turns evil ffs if I can just kill him then.

I guess you're right but without him and the Graybeards the dragonborn would not have defeated Alduin in the first place. The mod Paarthurnax Dilemma looks like it gives you more reasonable options.

Yeah I agree. Could've been a persuasion option where you get the blades to see reason in vanilla.

You must admit that dragons are intelligent and self aware making them sentient beings and any crime against a sentient species simply because they are what they are is a race crime.

This is true, all dragons in the realm of skyrim excluding Paarthurnax are evil and continue to kill NPCs when I'm not looking

Because he will almost certainly outlive you if you don't kill him? (I mean, there are ways and means of becoming immortal but Dragonborn human(oid)s are not inherently so). There hasn't been a (known) Dragonborn for quite some time, certainly not one who's been shown to be able to absorb dragon souls (fully killing dragons), so there's every chance that if Paarthurnax just waits for the Dragonborn to die, there would be nobody left who could (permanently) stop him.

I mean, I don't agree with her, she sucks and her logic sucks, but this specific point ('just wait and see, and I'll kill him if necessary') is pretty easily argued against.

The blades were better in Oblivion. It seems like all factions outside of the evil ones only focus on dragons. Kinda like in Fallout 4 how they all focus on Synths. When in reality, who cares? Honestly. There's so much potential that's ruined because the game wants you to be a certain person and limits your freedom. Like bad parents.
