All of them are. We haven't physically seen them in the games though. But every one has been refrenced in lore books and even other Gods and Daedra.

That's why in the Empire its refrenced as the 9 devines, they're all officially recognised as REAL, regardless of belief. ALso, not every race is focused on a certain God. Nords generally believe in Talos and Ysgramor, Humans from the race of men, first born etc etc. But some Nords believe in Stendarr, Mara and various other Gods too.

Tbis exact same question can be applied to real life.

Is Jesus real
Is Talos real

No difference... EXCEPT in game some like to interfere occasionally while in real life you're supposed to just blindly accept hypocrisy and lies.

Well, until Skyrim anyway, where Talos is not OFICIALLY regarded as a God in Empire law.

There's a huge difference. IRL there's no evidence of Gods. In Elder Scrolls there's constant evidence.

And then there are the deadra.

If you play shivering isles you become a god.

The Divines offer promises. The Daedra reward those who prove they deserve it. :steamhappy:

It's honestly no different with the Divines - prove your worthiness and they reward you. The Divines are basically Good Daedra, except they're kinda dead and you're mostly interacting with their ghosts while standing on/in their corpses - which is what qualifies them as Aedra instead.

Anyways, you meet various aspects of the Divines throughout Morrowind and potentially Oblivion. In Skyrim... well there's some debate as to whether Alduin is an aspect of Akatosh or if Alduin is a separate but related being, with some evidence pointing mostly towards the former. Akatosh is a bit mentally unstable, which is why things like Dragonbreaks happen and Emperors become Gods.

Akatosh is pretty much the most powerful of Aedra. The only one to win a staring contest with him is a gay robocop from the distant future. Who the player character can be the reincarnation of in Oblivion if you have the Knights DLC.

I say they are only because you can see the active effects from their blessings.

For the most part, the "different gods" are generally seen/shown to be various aspects/cultural perceptions of more or less the same gods, I think - although there are some which haven't been included in the Official Imperial Pantheon (TM).

For example, Akatosh (Nord/Cyrod/Breton), Alkosh (Khajiit), Auri-El (Altmer/Snow Elf/Bosmer) and Ruptga (Redguard) are all considered to be the same essential being, viewed through different cultures' experiences/beliefs. (Although I'm sure some or all of the cultures in question think that THEIR version is right and everyone else is an idiot.)

There are a few deities which only appear in one or two pantheons - there's a fair bit of cross pollination between Elsweyr/Valenwood and Elsweyr/Morrowind (e.g. Baan Daar and worship of the moons under differing names are found among the Khajiit and the Bosmer, while certain Daedra are part of the Khajiit pantheon as well as the Dunmer one (Azurah, Merrunz)) although I think the majority of those deities are still acknowledged as existing by other races/cultures (I don't think anyone denies Azura or Mehrunes Dagon exist, and afaik the thing about the moons being bits of Lorkhan's corpse is generally accepted as fact.)
