Depending if there's space behind the stable, you might also be able to sort of reverse-shepherd them into the stable by telling them to follow and then dancing around behind the stable... Or, you know, it might go horribly wrong...
The wait function does work, but only with the horse you're currently using. When you have more than one, the ones you're not using are *supposed* to go back and hang out wherever you planted the herd flag... but I'm having an issue where all the horses keep following me lol.
gnewna - I actually have both CH and CHH, but I'm having an issue where I can't get my horses to stay by the herd flag. I want them to stop following me, lol.
As for the stable. Do you have a location in mind? You're sort of treading on something that's been bothering me since I started using horses in game. I could almost talk myself into creating a huge stable you can ride into and then dismount in ... adding a gate shouldn't be an issue, but even if it only had three stalls it would be pretty stinking big. I'm really not sure how big the "rooms" would have to be, so where becomes an important issue.
I might be able to come up with a stable replacement for the hearthfires homes ... not sure until I build the building.
Well I'd like to put it somewhere near my house, which unfortunately doesn't have a lot of flat space surrounding it, as it's name implies (Cliffside) but I could be flexible with the size/how close to the house it is. If there was some way for the player to place it where they want (like what Hearthfire Extended does with furniture, or what Campfire does with campsites, though I imagine a stable would be more complicated) that'd be ideal.
I'm also considering uninstalling CH/CHH and replacing it with Immersive Horses, as it seems to do some of the same things and maybe it'll work better for me if I can't fix my CH issue.
