Can CBBE and UNP mods work together?

so i had this game for a long time but never played then my friend recently told me to play it and as usual i looked for mods and noticed there are 2 body mods UNP and CBBE some mods requires UNP and some Requires CBBE so my question is Can they work together? like if a mod requires UNP and the other one requires CBBE and i want both mod so can i install both mods with UNP and CBBE and they will work fine?

Yes and no!

If you use a unp armor mod but the body is different then there will be clipping and other oddness. Vice versa also.

My personal experience is using cbbe and body slide and mods that support that setup, I don't think there's hardly any armor/clothing out that isn't compatible with body slide now day's.

There are mods like bodychange that lets you use both and more. Once you figure out how to use it, it's easy to swap between 9 different + your original body types.

if you use a CBBE body with all UNP armor you'l look like UNP and vice versa as the main armor uses the body,hands and feet meshes, however if you mix and match eg UNP boots with a CBBE Cuirass you'll get clipping issues and perhaps even gaps in the body, just use CalienteTools and try converting them,or there's a few conversions of alot of armors you just have to look

shouldn't have however if you using the jiggle mod then it may cause problems,it's really trial and error i'm using UNP armor mods with a CBBE body,i'd make a backup of whatever armor you're thinking of replacing,just in case (meshes and textures folders)

Think of them as clothes size.

Let's say my body has a CBBE shape. So, I'll buy some CBBE-made clothes so they would fit to my body. Same concept for the UNP form.

I'm pretty confident that you can run UNP and CBBE at the same time..
..provided that you're installing CBBE mods for CBBE.. and UNP mods for UNP.

I used this software called LOOT (Load Order Optimisation Tool) from the Mods Nexus website. The name itself says its function. Plus, it will tell you which ones are incompatible, missing required mods, etc.

In my case though, I use mods based on CBBE since I heard it's the long-time running and widely used body type among the mods community.
