Can not get Bleak Falls Barrow quest from Farengar.

I speak with Jarl Balgruff after completing unbound or what ever it's called then go to Farengar but, after talking about Bleak Falls Barrow he does not give me the quest.

Load back to when you entered dragon reach and try again

Go to map (M key) and open journal (quests)and see if it is there, first up(after speaking to him).
You really don't need to, just go to the barrow do what ever get the stone tablet and return, quest will continue.

I guess I can try getting the stone first but If that doesn't change anything I can report back.

Problem solved. It was either alternate start or it was Skyrim Unbound. Fixed my problem thanks for the help I guess.

Wait, you're not using both of those?

I only use alternate start now. Long time ago Unbound overwrite my .ini file so I couldn't become dragonborn do main quests or any of that. At least I fixed it now. Deleted the files for unbound and I was good.

Probably like 6 or 7 months ago I did that. It ended up overwriting my files for skyrim so I have to do a hard restart now.

THANK. YOU. I didn't want to go through every single mod solving this problem, but was about to until I came across this. It was Skyrim Unbound that was doing it. Once again, thank you. BTW, for the other two people that tried to help, the mod completely broke the quest, and in turn broke the Dragon Rising quest, which made both the main questline and the Imperial questline unplayable at a certain point.
