There is a way to overcome this and this friendly advice will help you conquor it.
In spite of your phobia toward spiders, playing this game and facing them with all the courage and might you can muster is probably the best way possible to help you overcome your fears to a degree. (as an additional aid in your defense, toggle god mode: press this key ~ , type tgm, press enter, then press this key again ~ ) ...
This will make you immortal and they can no longer hurt you (or anything else for that matter).
Sure, they're not pretty and yes they can be scary. I have my moments, but I no longer fear them. I do however keep a respect for them knowing there are only a very few spiders (3 or 4 of them on this planet) that are really dangerous.
Of course, there are no gigantic spiders in real life like those we see in Skyrim.
Just want to help.
Best of luck to you. Keep in touch with me.
Spoiler:
I would want to state how I overcame my fear of spiders because I really didn't like the other bugs and insects around my house as a child, and I knew that spiders would eat them and remove the other bugs. So I grew to like spiders, even if I knew that they 'could' potentially be dangerous.
I didn't realize till later in life, but when I was a child I would play with jumping spiders, holding them on my hands. They are really quite intelligent! But... these same spiders were also called wolf spiders... supposedly a really dangerous breed. I would hear stories at church how someone attacked a spider and it turned out to be a wolf spider, and it ended up chasing them.
Later in life, my room mate had a tarantula and assured me it was docile and nice and that she held it often. So I let her put it on my hand. Now here's a scary thing that didn't hurt anyone, it was so intelligent that it tested my skin by touching its teeth to me in a gentle manner. At first this scared me, but my roommate assured me that it did this all the time with no danger. I realized that it was using its fangs as we do our fingers.
I once saw this large jumping spider on the upper wall in the front room of my mother in law's house when I was staying there. It was the size of a silver dollar, with all its legs tucked in as is customary. They all looked to me to kill it or remove it... I thought about it and realized that this spider could potentially think that I was attacking it and then focus on its own survival by attacking me instead. So I told everyone to leave it alone, and it would leave eventually. And after a few months, it actually left. Most of the time it was out of sight, out of mind.
All in all, I have found that most spiders will not try to hurt a human who does not want to hurt the spider.
Did try some of them. No more.
To OP.
@Valhok do actually have right. It is the best way to get rid of that illness.
Hope you can fix it.
