(Solved) Whiterun keeps crashing and I can't fix it.
Really quick, I wanted to thank all of the people you helped me solve this, without them my game would still be broken. So from the bottom of my heart, Thank You!

Okay so early in the week I decided to start playing Skyrim again. I uninstalled all my mods and started a new. It was working just fine. Then I thought, I'll try some mods. I downloaded a few and they ALL worked just fine. However, after a few days of playing I went to enter Whiterun and my game crashes to the desktop. Thinking it was the mods I uninstalled ALL of them. But it still crashed. I then thought “that’s strange” so I Verified the integrity of the game cache, it said that all the files were verified. I launched the game and tried to enter Whiterun, didn’t work. I then thought, “Maybe the Character is corrupted” so I made a new one and tried to enter Whiterun again. Crashed. So now I’m all like “The fricking hell?!” I uninstalled Skyrim and reinstalled it to see if that would fix the problem. Made a new character again, sat through that long and boring tutorial, run all the way to Whiterun, entered to City and… Crash. So I’m begging you guys and gals, please help me out!

(Solution)

I went into Steam and uninstalled Skyrim, then I went into my Skyrim folder on my hard drive (which for whatever reason is not deleted when you uninstall a game) and deleted the whole folder. Then I went to Steam and reinstalled the game. This fixed the crashes whenever I enter Whiterun.

I'd say it's something in your files, but I've no idea where. Since it only crashes in Whiterun apparently.

Truth be told, I never checked to see if it crashed anywhere else. I'll go see if that's the case.

You should do that. If it's everywhere, then it's something as in general glitches. But it's a specific area, then you should look for the problem there.

So let me specify. When you try to enter a CITY, it crashes. When you try to enter a tavern, it crashes too? Well, I'm not good with this and I've no idea. Have you seen if any of your BSA files are corrupted?

so now you're running vanillia Skyrim but it still crashes ? when removing mods some files may be left over and have to be manually removed, also try resetting the ini file,if you are using any mods can you list them ?

No I have not. I don't even know what a BSA file is...

Yes, I'm not using any mods. I thought I might have somthing leftover from an old mod. That's why I uninstalled Skyrim and reinstalled it. But that didn't work. Do you think I might have to, by hand, unintall each file?

did you manually delete the Skyrim folder ? Steam doesn't do a proper uninstall, try this save it's clean and your in Dragonsreach http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14263/?

I'd say it's something corrupted that is left in the files because when you uninstall a game it does not fully disappear it is still in your game files. Go through them and see if you have anything unusual. Maby a mod you installed left something behind?

A BSA file is a file that contains multiple files/information most of the time. If you extract them, so it'll be loose files your game will run smoother. BSA is used a lot for mods, and as they say above here, de-installing the game doesn't remove everything.

Thank you, I didn't know that steam wouldn't remove everything. No wonder my C drive is so full! To me that just doesn’t make sense. But I digress. So I'm going to go through all the files and see what I can do.

Thank You all for the help! My Skyrim game is back up and running the way it should. I couldn't for the life of me find out which files should have been there and which ones should not have been. So I kind of deleted them all... Then I reinstalled the game. Turns out even when you delete all of your files your saves are saved to steam. But the point is that my Skyrim is no longer crashing and I still have all my saves. Thank You guys so much!
