Any way to kill dragons without a bow or magic?
My character is a pure warrior. Shield, sword, heavy armor, that's it. How can I fight dragons if I can't get them out of the sky and on the ground? Seriously, I don't want to have to use magic or a bow because I'm roleplaying as a board-and-sword warrior. I wouldn't think that I'd have to break with how I want to play the character just so I can pick a fight with a dragon and get him to notice me with arrows or magic. Any ideas?

Run and hide when they come in to strafe, eventually the beast will land and you can run in and stab away.

Just wait for them to land. It probably won't take long. If it doesnt land, ignore it and go on with your journey. Oh and also what they said ^

Every dragon that attacked me would land sooner or later after some breath attacks. Sometimes they fly off and land somewhere near. However, some dragons are not hostile. They will show up, do a few circles and then fly into the horizon.

Obvious answer is you use the dragonrend shout to get them to land then hit them with your favourite weapon.
Do you have perks to knock back with shield bash?
In Skyrim the perks you select define how easily you can defeat enemies.

I have beaten dragons as a werewolf where you depend on the dragon landing of it's own choice before being able to damage it at all.

Thank you all so much for the replies! Now I have a better understanding of how to play this character type. Again, thank you. I really appreciate the help!
pfft, get the skad greatsword. that solves all your problems dealing with ranged creeps.

So, you're saying the dragons are not fighting fair? Maybe if you talk to them about it, they'll do you the favor of landing.

Seriously, you ARE going to have problems as a non-ranged combatant trying to take down dragons. You are eventually going to have to compromise your deeply held moral principles and use a bow if you want to fight them. Or you magic. Or use a staff. Or get a ranged follower. Or use shouts.

Eventually they will land, but not before messing up your pure warrior suit with soot and cinders.

You can wait a long time for them to land, if you don't get them to 50% HP somehow or use Dragonrend on them. Btw technically, the shouts are an ancient form of magic, according to the court wizard of Whiterun, so if you have used a shout with your character, you've already broken your own rule.

I guess, even a warrior, who prefers shield and onehand weapon, is intelligent and willing enough to use a bow in such a case, to get the dragon down to 50% hp.
Just because you use a bow doesn't mean, that you need to spend Perk points on the Archery tree.

I wait with sword in hand and my follower/s use bows etc., when it lands, its my turn.

In some cases, if they are perching on a wall, hide there while they are on patrol and then hit their tail when they come back. If they can't find you, they will get into a loop, where they return from patrol and perch again... wash, rinse, repeat. If the tail is too high to reach, you'll still need a bow though.

Some of them have trigger zones on map, if you find an unexpected way to reach the dragon, you can move right into their blind spot. That can get you close enough to engage with melee. Beware though, sometimes this can make them invisible until they activate.

If you don't mind temporarily altering your playstyle, sneak up and backstab; since you are pure warrior, you'll have to craft ubber items, grab the backstab gloves, use pots, etc.
