Invincible Dogs Pls
I am rolling around with my adventuring crew with my follower and my favorite Dog Garmr, but Garmr has this little problem: He keeps Dying. Whether it's an enemy, my stray arrow, or, randomly, my follower killing him, he normally ends up dead.... He is my personal kenny. I keep using console commands, but this can be annoying, because if I don't rez him fast enough, my follower turns him into a zombie, and then he becomes an ash pile that I can't rez. Is there any way I can make him invulnerable, or a mod that makes him invincible, or do I just need to keep rezzing him? BTW, Garmr is a Death Hound.

So I type the Gettysburg Address into the console command bar, and Garmr instantly invulnerable

Nah, as nice as that would be, the Gettysburg Address doesn't do anything in Skyrim, (unless you get the mod that replace Heimskr's speech in Whiterun with it) there is a command to mark a follower as essential, not sure if it will work on a dog, but it should as they are still an AI entity. OR you could download AFT (amazing Follower Tweaks) & see if you can set him to essential through that, again, not sure if it works on dogs as they are 'TECHNICALLY' not followers.

This command can be used to make any NPC unkillable. When a character set as essential takes nearly fatal damage, they collapse onto their hands and knees (Also known as Bleedout) and stumble around for a period of time, instead of dying.
Note that the base ID and not the ref ID must be used. The ref ID is what appears when clicking on an object with the console open. To find an NPC's base ID, however, you can either a) browse to their respective page (see: People and/or NPCs) or b) use the help function in-game to search for them by name, recording whatever value matches their name under the "NPC_" category of result. Once you have the base ID, enter the command using either 1 to set him/her immortal or 0 to set him/her mortal. For example, setessential a2c8e 1 would set Lydia as immortal.

Thank you! I used the command, and during combat with some other adventureers, I hit Garmr, and he went into bleedout mode instead of just dying. Hanks
