SKYRIM KEY - will i get special edition

If i purchased a Skyrim Legendary Edition CD KEY for example of G2A and activate it on steam will i get the free Skyrim special edition when it comes out or do i have to purchase Skyrim through steam to be eligible?

I think, you must activate this key before Remastered comes out, for get it for free.

The keys were all issued by Valve originally, no matter where you buy them from.

But some such keys aren't exactly obtained via legal methods; people use them to launder money from stolen credit cards. If you get such a key, you may end up losing your copy when a charge-back occurs later down the track.

On the other hand, other keys are simply bought in bulk when they're on sale, so that they can be sold for a slight mark-up later down the track when that sale ends.

It's a bit of a lucky-dip!

As far as I know (Which when it comes to Steam, is not much) all you have to do is obtain Skyrim legally (Meaning no free downloads from someplace), activate it on Steam and download it and you should be fine.

I know nothing of the CD Keys, however.

As long as its on steam and you have the legendary edition or all DLC's you will get the special edition.

as long as you have it activated on your account (providing it gives you all the DLC's) it will add the special edition to your account and you can download that edition on release (i think its being added as a seperate game?)

wait so i should have it in my library now (because i dont) or will it get added when the game is unlocked and comes out?
