Auriel's Bow Glitch

So I'm playing Touching the Sky got to the end, pick up the bow and the new mission doesn't start afterwards.

I've had to restart from before and now saved before picking it up tried 10 times and nothing is working, even fastravelled and came back, waited, attacked serena but still I cannot move onto the next mission can anyone help?

Okay, SazzyGoff, this should help you out.

From https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Touching_the_Sky Bugs section (at bottom of page):

"The final objective to 'Retrieve Auriel's Bow' may not properly register as completed as it should, even after picking it up. A message signifying the quest's completion will still turn up, though the game ceases to progress after that. Neither Serana nor Gelebor will have proper dialogue options, and the following quest, 'Kindred Judgement', does not begin.
- This bug is fixed by version 2.0.0 of the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch [NOTE - only the full Unofficial Patch is available now, and that requires you have all 3 DLCs - smr1957].
- Use the console command setstage DLC1VQ07 200 to properly complete the final 'Retrieve Auriel's Bow' objective."

You will probably need to use that console command to complete the quest and start the next.

My worry is that I won't get the achievement do you know if the patch will stop them?

That is only for Special Edition. This is the Oldrim forum, so it is assumed you are playing Oldrim - achievements are not effected by mods in Oldrim, so you are good to go. But, some things fixed by the Patch will not be retroactively applied, so in that case you would need to use the command.

If you ARE playing Special Edition, there is a mod that re-enables achievements called Engine Fixes - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230 - THIS IS ONLY FOR SPECIAL EDITION.
If playing Special Edition follow the installation instructions exactly and make sure you have all the requirements, and your achievements will be enabled for a modded game.
