Strange flickering shadows on face and neck
https://youtu.be/HLeSO12b_IE

I`m using Pi-cho ENB, all other mods disabled. Toggling the ENB SSAO on produces strange shadows on character faces and necks - should be pretty visible when you view the video on full screen. On my QHD screen it`s pretty damn in-your-face and definitely something I want to get rid of.

I`m using BethINI, and skyrim`s native AO is turned off. As said before, all other mods, including lighting mods were also turned off while recording this video, so I have no idea what may be causing this.

Any ideas? :/ thanks

Well, there was nothing visible in the vid that is an issue - it looked totally normal as far as could be seen, nothing out of the ordinary at all. It may just be that due to the higher quality of your screen, it is making what is the usual lighting appear to be faulty - but there is really nothing that can be done about it.

Also, if you are playing Special Edition, you should post in that forum - this is for Oldrim - just to ensure that you get the proper and correct response and answers - though the answer would be the same for SSE as it is for Oldrim (if anything, Oldrim would appear worse).

Ah, thanks, I somehow missed that i`m in the wrong forum lol. Just the way i`ve accidentally downloaded a mod from Nexus for oldrim instead of SSE countless times and wondered why it didn`t work...

Yeah, Pi-Cho definitely caused some bad flickering. My monitor is indeed of a very high quality, yes, it clearly shows when something`s wrong. tried Silent Horizons ENB and it has zero flickering :) So that`s the one i`ll be using from now.

Well, Scanderov, you are far from the first and definitely not the last that will post in this instead of the SSE forum - LOL!

Glad you found something that works well with your hardware. The problem is, the hardware keeps getting better and better and has great advances being made, while the game stays with, at heart, an increasingly older and out of date engine.

Good luck and have fun!

Yeah, it's still amazing though what this modding community has done within the limitations of this engine. Wonderful stuff.

Thanks!
