Jenassa follower suddenly vanished
No idea why or where she has gone. I finished building a house travel to a city & she was gone. I tried to return to the house to look for her & also the drunken something at Whiterun? (I think - whereever it was I first met her), then looked here & online for help.

I tried console command but it doesn't work. Also she is supposedly found on the road to Riften but she isn't there either. (I'll keep looking)

Any other way to find her?

I've a few ideas.

You could have your character wait a full day to see if she shows up.

You could use a spell or power similar to Detect Life ( or actually use Detect Life ) and look around the spot you noticed she was gone.

You could reload a save. But obviously, that would lose your building progress.

Wait three days and go back to the drunken huntsman which is her starting spot.

Or reload previous save where she is there, to get her Console ID so that you could use that to bring her to you.

Or use a mod like AFT such that when you draw your sword she is behind you.

Or play it properly ... such that if you lose a follower then punish yourself by reloading a previous save regardless of how far back it is.

Besides what does it really matter. Replaying a couple of days, try doing it differently ... just for fun of it!

Also try fast traveling back to Whiterun. Every time I's lost a follower I usually just fast travel to a city and they appear next to you. There are also console commands to move you to her location if you use her ID

Her Ref ID is E1BA9

I tried sleeping & travelling to different locations, but she doesn't appear.

I don't have that spell unfortunately but I think I've seen it before.

Yeah I don't want to reload & lose all progress tbh, but thanks anyway.

It's been at least 3 in game days already, but I can go check again at the drunken huntsman. I'll have a look for that mod later thanks. I don't see how reloading a save is playing it properly nor is it fun for me to lose progress due to a game bug. I would prefer to try another way.

Yes I tried to fast travel to my house, the last city at the time, another city & whiterun, but she didn't appear. I tried the console command at whiterun but it didn't work, I'll try somewhere else outside of a city maybe, thanks.

Just tried again in a cave & the ref ID worlked! She's back although I had to pay 500 gold to hire her again she at least kept all her equipment. Although for some reason she wont equip her armour or boots.

Heres something that can happen to followers. I lost a follower once and couldn't find her and I did all the things that Op did, no results. I knew I could use place at me console command but I didn't want to. I made one more look at the place I last saw her. She was aggressive and often ran off the road after thngs so I ran off road to look. I found her between two rocks and she was running in place. I had to go to her, talk to her and then back away. Eventually she turned in my direction and came to me.
