Planting Madesi's ring on Brand-Shei

I stole the ring, and I go to plant the ring ond Brand-Shei but when I press R to try and give it to him it does nothing. Does anyone know why this is happening.

Try 'E' on Brand-Shei, then his inventory will come up. Switch to your inventory, select the ring to give it to him. It should also show what percent chance you have of success.

Pickpocket him.

When you open the pickpocket menu, switch it over to your inventory and place the ring into his well, inventory.

That's what I did. I think the key is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, because I can't even drop items with R. Also when I try to change the key to place or drop, it dosen't come up in the controls.

The mission only completed after the distraction show ends. Go behind the crates near where he sits and plant it over the crates. You then need to wait till he goes back to his stall.

Yeah for whatever reason re-bindings aren't always reflected in the interface. Try E or F instead of R, then start working your way around the keyboard if those don't work either.
