(Abandoned) : Sliding Animals
ALERT: ( I require no more support for this issue, the culprit of the issue was "Monster Mod Reborn" i installed that mod on an already active save game. If you are reading this then for the love of god INSTALL THE MOD BEFORE STARTING A NEW GAME, NOT ON YOUR CURRENT SAVE OR YOU WILL END UP WITH THIS ISSUE

if you want to fix this....the only way to do so is to completely remove monster mod reborn and then get rid of your saves (delete them or put them in a seperate folder) and then you will have to start a new game. Your old saves are a gonner don't even bother to fix it!!! )

Hi all,

i managed to get myself in trouble again and this time it would appear to be an issue with the animals in Skyrim...

I'll keep it simple all the animals (deer, Elk , bears,..) are sliding for me, they have no animation

i was using a mod before called Monsters Reborn

I suspect these 2 are the cause of this issue

now i used these mods before and they didn't really cause anything but today i started up my skyrim and started noticing the sliding animals (its only the animals as far as i know)
I Removed those 2 mods and the problem still persists.

(( Also i noticed something strange within my Skyrim data folder, can anyone check if he/she can only see a .txt file in Skyrim\Data\Meshes ? ))


So i'd like to ask for some help with this issue, any help is much appreciated!


THINGS I HAVE TRIED:
- Reinstalling the game
- Restarting the PC
- Verifying the game cache using Steam
- Loading the game without any mods (completely vanilla)
- Removing mods wich could have caused the issue
- Used Skyrim Save Script Cleaner to remove some orphan scripts
- Drivers are up-to-date
- Downloaded a mod that should fix the animations but no luck
- Waiting indoors for 24 hours
- Using the console command "Disable" and "Enable" on an animal ( This fixed the issue for a small period of time but after a few minutes the problem returns)

Do you use Fores New Idles In Skyrim? Load order sorted with LOOT? Does this happen on a new game?

-No i donot use Fores New Idles mod?

-I'm Using the Nexus Mod Manager to sort out my mods although inside the nexus mod manager folder i can find a folder called LOOT so i guess that means i'm using LOOT?!

-Havn't tried it on a new game yet...will try that out ASAP but that will be for a wendsday

You should use LOOT itself, not the built in version.

Sadly using LOOT to sort out my load order didn't work.

But i did notice something weird, when i was testing ingame if the issue was fixed something caught my eye.

I was sprinting towards a spawn point for deer and upon arrival i can see the 2 deers standing still and walking around (no animation) but then a deer spawned in next to those 2 and that one did have an animation for running and such...



But no LOOT didnt work :(

Post your load order please. In LOOT upper right click on the three dots and choose copy load order then paste it here.

Also i'm currently reinstalling the game as we speak....do i doubt it will do anything it sure is worth the try.

I was hoping something would jump out, but of the mods I know I see no problems. At this all I have is take mods out a few at a time test on a new game. Wish I could be more help.

ALRIGHT Good News

i managed to fix the problem (atleast it looks like it) and the solution made me facepalm.

So this problem turned up after deleting the "More monsters" mod
it occured because the "more monsters" mod was using spawn points that certain animals use ingame, this caused the skating for most of the animals after deleting the mod because the game wanted to spawn a monster (from the mod) at one of the deer spawn points location but the monster (from the mod) didn't excist anymore so the game decided to spawn in the defaul animal wich was a deer but it had no animation due to the fact that the animation for the monster (from the mod) couldn't be used do to it not being there anymore

But cfs111 i do have to thank you for all the help you have bin giving me so far. Installing LOOT actually made me mods more stable, it also made my game load faster and run better + the scripts for the mods loaded quicker aswell.
