whether you use console commands or this exploit you must admit it is still taking advantage of the system. Commands are easier but seriously it is still an exploit.
BTW- play as you want. not my place to judge. as long as you have fun.
the big thing is tempering an item to give you hundreds if not thousands of damage on your weapon. yes it is fun taking down dragons with a fork. Ocasionally I will use this to temper a pair of boots to give me max protection allowing me to wear any other item of clothing if I want to go for a certain look. Sometimes it is easier to open the CK and change the chefs outfit to light armor and temper it normally and go slaughter a dragon as the butcher from HELLo.
But as I said before having fun is the most important thing.
The links above are not the only sources but they're all similar, videos are available too if you prefer -- google for skyrim ultimate crafting.
The bug relies on the fortify skill enchantments being known as from the school of restoration as are the fortify skill effects of potions. This means fortify restoration potions not only boost the power of enchanted gear but also their own effect. After getting enough +% alchemy the scaling formula breaks so you can start crafting ever stronger fortify alchemy gear even without fortify restoration potions.
