Insulting mod authors in Steam forum is not making things any better by the way.
So, I am still waiting for an answer. Did captainradish use SKSE memory tweak that was mentioned in the ReadMe file to cover the exact problem above?
This is not a problem I have seen anywhere else with any other mod I have installed (and I have played quite a few). I'm faulting the mod author because he apparently decided it's better to block people from viewing the mod rather than take polite criticism. Stocking your comments with sycophants is just...sickening.
If you vented on the Nexus, you could say bye-bye to your Skyrim modding experience.
Goes to show how much influence Nexus has over Bethesda modding; I say its too much
Good to hear. That information will help me to check if there is something strange going on with the mod, when I pop it open.
Super dull otherwise.
Not to mention it uses "no hand holding" to excuse the fact that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing is explained.
So basically, you wander around, talk to 10k NPC's that have nothing to say while admiring the nice visuals and then... maybe you get a quest that isn't really dull.
If you're lucky.
Of course, too much is bad too.
Also sounds like mod author needs to learn that criticism isn't always bad. You get valid criticism, you fix problem, then most people say thanks and the product is better too.
Yep. I'd like to think I'm intelligent enough to not rock the boat over at Nexus more than I apparently do. I like the site a lot and I like MOST of the authors and people over there. I've honestly never seen this before and it just made me realize there's no way to arbitrate disputes rather than giving mod authors total authoritarian rule over their little domains.
Looks like I managed to avoid having to roll back my save several hours when inevitably I figured that out for myself. I apparently got suckered in via the mods sycophants myself. I probably should have paid more attention to the reddit post that basically said the same thing you did.
Which costs.
And since that introduces expense to the equation, they can't afford to do it.
But that isn't the same as saying there is no way to do it.
At least in this circumstance I don't think that is the case. All I need is a moderator to see that what I posted wasn't inflaming nor spam nor overly negative and the block would be overturned. I was polite and didn't insult the mod or the maker whatsoever (at least by any reasonable standard). All I said was people needed to be warned that the mod increased load and save times considerably.
