What's a good shield to go with the Steel Plate armor?

Little bit too much of a Nordic look for me. If the Steel Shield was acceptable, this topic wouldn't exist.

I mean aesthetically what's a good shield for the Steel Plate armor set?

While those are both excellent and acceptable candidates, my case is a little bit more specific than that.

I'm trying to make a custom "Winter Knight" set of armor out of this retexture mod:

And I would like to have/find a white shield to go with the Steel Plate Armor.

Seriously though, those two shields are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, they're just not white and they have heraldry on them. If I need a shield for regular Steel Plate, I'll go with one of those two.

Imperial shield, Nordic shield, Dawnguard shield or Auriel's shield

I did some searching and this mod seems pretty good for my situation:

...Kind of.

Historically speaking, troopers in heavy plate armor were usually armed with great swords for front line work. (more armor, bigger weapon).

Well one one hand, Skyrim isn't exactly historic. On the other hand, thanks for the information. This was just enough to convince me to add the Iron and Silver Greatsword to my arsenal.

I'm making a winter-themed set of armor and weapons. I was considering having two-handed weapons, and I have decided thanks to this post to add them in.

Actually historically speaking the type of armour you wore depended on what you could afford. The front line troops were pheasants, so wre probably wearing Leather armour, maybe chainmail. The people with Plate Armour and greatswords were nobles, and not likely to be on the frontline itself.

Armourwise the rich were in the best, the less rich were in what was cutting edge ten-twenty years ago, and the troops were in whatever they manage to find and afford. Armour was also the area that could afford to lag a bit, people were still using bronze armour well into the iron age, and iron armour when everybody was using steel weapons.

Weapons on the other hand were typically made from the most upto date material, using the best techniques the weaponsmith could master. And if you had an inferior weapon, it would probably break on the battlefield.

Anyone have any good white shields to go with the Steel Plate Armor? While these are all great for vanilla Steel Plate, I want a shield to go with this retexture:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249718465

However, I have noted all the vanilla Steel Plate suggestions and will be using them if I ever need a shield for regular Steel Plate. Thank you guys.

I think the OP is going for a Paladin look. In which case, a large shield is required similar to the second of the two original mods that were mentioned in reply:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34496/?
It wouldn't take a great deal of work to re-texture that shield to match the armour though. Unpack the mod, edit the texture graphic and any .DDS files as well and repack it.
