Laid to Rest quest glitch?

Doing this quest and I'm told to search a burned down house and talk to a ghost. Yeah well the ghost isn't there I've waited in 4 hour increments and still no ghost. I've even fast travelled to different areas and came back to Morthal still nothing.

Is there a way I can skip this part with the console or no?

The ghost should be in the left-hand corner as soon as you enter the house, and isn't visibile until you actually enter the house. Make sure she isn't invisible for some reason by standing in the corner and mousing around.

I've been in the house waiting and it doesn't appear the marker is hovering over nothing basically. Isn't there a console command that skips quest steps? I remember there being one in Fallout 4 when I was going through that game.

There is. but it can break things, so it must be used with caution. In this case, can you use the code "sqs" to find the stage you're currently at?

I typed sqs but it just says missing parameter quest. Not sure what that means. So I looked on the wiki for the quest id and did sqs and the id and it just said stage 40-200 0.

Hmm. So what does it say in your quest log? At stage 40 you're supposed to go to the graveyard behind town.

In my quest log it says investigate the burned down house which is where i'm supposed to see this ghost. I'm also assuming there's stages 1-39 but for some reason the console wont scroll up to them.

Try taking a few steps back before starting that quest. (Earlier save just before talking to the Jarl about it).
That quest has never glitched out on me, so this is the only thing I can think of to suggest for you to try.

. That should advance you to the next part. Make sure to save before hand just in case.

ok so i scrolled up on the window now my quest stage say:

stage 1:1
stage 5-7:0
stage 9: 1
stage 10: 1
stage 20: 1
stage 25: 0
stage 30: 1
stages 35-200: 0

thx the same bug happened to me and the command fixed it
