Werewolf Issues.
Now, I have near 200 hours in skyrim, probably more with my older steam account, but I rarely do the Compainion's quest lines due to the werewolves (I am an avid vampire fan), so this playthrough I decided to play through all of the Compainion's questline before starting Dawnguard just to play it and see the were wolf thing. The problem is, the first time I went to use the transformation besides the first time, I killed 2 silverhand's with Vilkas when trying to get some [spoilers] pieces of wuuldar or someshit, after Kodlak died... Is that still spoiler?[/spoiler] Then I ate them for the werewolf perks and for the extended blood lust, but just as I ate the second body, I revereted back to my Orcish form, after about 30 seconds of being a wolf, and eating bodies. I don't have any werewolf mods active currently (as stated above, I focus on vampire's) so I don't think it is that, not that I think that It could do that. But why did I revert so soon?

the transformation doesn't last long and im guessing eating bodies really doesnt add much to the timer. i never liked the werewolf transformation as you pretty much lose the ability to use anything you've accumulated and lose most of your armor value as well.

Vampire and werewolf mods do not really clash. If the vanilla system annoys you, then I would recommend following mods.

Moonligth Tales - Essentials: for werewolf characters and extended durations.

Skyrim Enhanced Camera: for both werewolf and vampire lord characters. This mod allows you to go in to first person in beast form, which makes the ability to control your character a lot easier in certain situations.

Predator Vision: for both werewolf and vampire lord characters. (If using ENB, then use either night eye compatible ENB preset or ENB Night Eye mod.)

But the vanilla transformations only last 30 seconds?

Yeah werewolf transformation is short, unless you eat a lot of hearts in a short space of time, the werewolf is meant to be played as a mad dash of battle.

I kill a body ridden fort then go werewolf and eat all the bodies. Base time is ♥♥♥♥ but after eating 6-10 black soul bodies you get hours. Aim for the right perk tree so you can keep yourself leveing on goats and foxes. I made a 3 day rampage and maxed the werewolf tree in a single use after the first quest based one. If you have the dragonborn DLC there are rings to help with the duration per feed.
