Player.setlevel
So, I was curious about using this, since I saw you could increase an NPC level. I'm an excessive saver, otherwise I would have hulk smashed my keyboard.
It does, indeed, increase your level. However, you lose whatever skill points you may have had saved, therefor you are unable to level up, aka earn new perks via the skill tree. I figured I'd post this, and maybe save other people from losing progress. I'm not much for godmode, so I only leveled a new character from 2-3, as a test. However I had just leveled to 2, and had not yet spent the earned skill point.

Lesson learned: don't play around with the console unless you a. Have a recent save, or b. Know wtf the command does.

That is all.

Yeah, console commands were made for debugging, not as a cheat menu. They are a good way to break your game.

If you use it to down level it can add skill points, and heath, stamina etc.
