No Companion Quest?
According to the Edler Scroll Wiki, the series of quest to get into the Companions are:

1. Take Up Arms,
2. Trouble in Skyrim,
3. Proving Honor -
4. One or more Radiant Quests,
5. Then you get initiated into the Companions...

My issue is stage 4. because I have done everything, and rather than being promoted to a Companion, or being given Radiant Quest, everyone just says "Need Something?" or "You still have to prove yourself!". I cannot complete a quest that I am not being given. Whats the issyes here?

I just went and talked to everyone again, and no one is offereing any quest at all, just saying that I have to "prove myself".

Proving honor should end up you beingpromoted to a companion. There is no need for a radiant quest.

You should have returned with Farkas and the piece of Wuuthrad to Jorvaskr. Vilkas is waiting for you and leads you to back yard. If he is not there, then he will appear to back yard with every one else.

Is Farkas still with you? Did you pick up the piece of Wuuthrad?

Do you have Unofficial Patches installed?

From Unofficial Skyrim Patch release notes:
0009AD96: Link trigger in Dustman's Cairn missing property settings causing errors during Proving Honor (C01). (Bug #13924) [NR]

If you do not have patches, get them from here:

Well had that twice had to do proving honor a second time .... Do you have mods that alter Jorrvaskr or the companions? Don't know for sure however it seems you can fail proving honor. And yes I've got the unofficial patches it seems a bug what occurs very seldom

Didi you fast travel to Whiterun after Dustmans by chance? There's a trigger between stables and city gate.If Farkas is still following you, walk from stables to the city gate.

I piece of Wuuthrad, returned with Farkas, reported to Jskor (or whatever his name is) and he told me that they would think on my being admitted and that I should report to the leaders for work... but I talked to everyone and the offer no work. They just tell me not to talk about them being wolves yet, because I am exceeding my station.

I did fast travel back to Whiterun from Dustmans. Farkas is not following me though, he went back to hanging out with the other guys. Ill try the walk on my own though.

That should not happen in vanilla game. Here is how it should really go:

It sounds to me like you have some mod that affects to Companion questline. Apparently obviously done to do so, if they are telling you not to speak about werevolves. You should face the Circle directly after Provin Honor and lycanthropy can be taken as a subject there.

Exactly what I had 2 times for me was the only solution to restart a game before Dustmans cairn or if you have it a save before the final battle that could also work. Out Of curiosity any mods that affect the companions for instance enhanced factions the companions

So it is a bug in original script? Strange, because OP told us that he had reported to Skjor, when he should have faced the whole Circle instead. Also, Kodlak does the talking - not Skjor.

Lollipop was right. I had to "walk" out to the Stables just outside of Whiterun, and then "walk" back in. When I did that, I went back and they came to me...

Thank you for telling us.

I have always avoided fast travelling, so this thing was completely new to me and sounded like a modded situation. I swear that I learn new things from this game every day.

Same here, and I have been playing on and off for years.

And I call upon the dark powers that be to raise this dead thread back into the realm of the living to say that this was the issue for me. I ended up fast traveling to one of the farms south of Whiterun and then walked back in through the gates and finally to Jorvaskr where Farkas was waiting for me.

And I too call upon the dark powers that be to say that this too was my problem. I’ve done this questline at least 5 times before and has never happened. Weird.

Truth is any mods including the unofficial patch may also introduce bugs.
I agree come out with Farkas then walk back, and follow him... last time I did this he had looted a fire staff and was using it all the way back LOL

Just posted about this I had multiple bugs with Companions, including one where Skjor was stuck just W of Whiterun under a cliff and would never arrive, and another where talking to Farkas ruined the entire Companions questline, in both cases I used console commands, if that didnt work, reloaded old save.

It is probably my fav questline in the game tho
