Fort Kastav: Imperials Attacking Me?

I just finished the first DLC and killed Alduin. I'm finishing up side quests and was running up the road toward Fort Kastav on my way to Winterhold. There usually is mages, necros and skeles in that place but this time I seen Imperials.

However, these Imperials told me I was trespassing as I was going down the main road passed the Fort. Them telling me the traditional Bandit line to "move along" made me think they were bandits dressed in disguise. My targetting did not reveal what they were until... I shot one with an arrow.

Then ALL of the Imperials in the Fort descended on me. Why are they agressive toward me initially? Why has word not spread that I am the M----- F----- Dragonborn and killed the World Eater???

But seriously, why are they agressive? I haven't joined a side.

Do you have mods that change something on the imperials ... I mean some latest version of immersive patrols or so?

Did you follow Ralof out of Helgen by any chance?

Doesn't this happen on all Forts? Once you have cleared it and then return later it has been reclaimed by imperial guards .

Or stormcloak soldiers depending on the region the cleared fort is located. And indeed, it's better to completly explore each fort and take anything of value, becuse after they occupay it you lose excces to the inner chambres due to trasspass threat. But I was never accused of traspassing in their yard.

I didnt even go into the Fort. I was passing by on the road. Other Imperials are friendly to me, but the one's at that fort are not.

I had a similar experience happen with a couple of Imperial camps. It surprised me that they were suddenly agressive. Maybe it is a result of favoring the Stormcloaks over the Imperials during the negotians at High Hrothgar, if you did that.

I haven't joined either side in this game and both Imperials AND Stormcloaks react the same way. If you don't get out of their way they draw weapons and say "If it's a fight you want....".
