Change Gender

I want to chnge my gender, NOTHING elso, what should I do? I don't want to mess up my perks, levels, attributes, etc. etc.

Hit ~ then type showracemenu, then you can change anything without interuppting perks, levels, attributes, etc. etc

Entirely untrue. This will mess up your game and character. Simply start a new game.

it was fine for me..... you could also do secchange in the ~ menu, but that gives them a man head if you're changing to a female and a female haead if you're changing to a male

Before you start giving bad advice, read up on console commands in the UESP wiki regarding this one you gave.

Let me quote that, while waiting Nexus servers to reopen.

Note: Using this command to alter one's race will reset skills and health/magicka/stamina to default levels. This command can be safely used to alter a character's appearance without causing any unwanted side-effects as long as race is not changed. However, it should be noted that upon completing your changes and choosing a name for your character, all temporary active effects (such as Gift of Charity or shrine blessings) will be removed. Racial resistances will no longer be listed in Active Effects until the game is loaded from the main menu, at which time racial resistances will be automatically reapplied. Permanent active effects such as those from guardian stones or perks will not be lost. Active effects granted from enchanted items will not be listed until the items are re-equipped.

well, im truly sorry if this was bad advice, but when i changed form a nord to an imperial and to a female, my game was fine, i didint see and thing wrong

Your character might have been lucky enough to avoid bugs and glitches assosiated with this, but we really can't - with hones hearts - to recommend that anyone should try their luck. This is why we can't recommend for anyone to change their gender during the game.

Turns out, luckily showracemenu worked, I have all the perks etc and a new name and different gender, thanks!

Problems may arise later, especially if you adopt vamipirsm or lycanthropy. They might still check your old gender. Good if it works for you, but keep in mind that it might be working for now.

sorry if i mees up your game, i really didnt know, it cant be worse then the 70 hours i just took trying to fix my skyrim (finally did) of the Neck seam and face discolorization, hope you have fun, skyirm is my favorite game :)

Neck seam is easy to fix, if you are using CBBE. It actually comes with a program (TexBlend) that removes it. :)

If it goes bad, is it game break? Will it effect old saves? I understand it is a bad idea, but how bad? I would like to change it, but don't want to go to square one (so would be interested), but don't want to be forced back to square one either.
