Using ApachiiSkyHair on custom follower creates perm gray face glitch?

So a while ago, I decided to begin modding Skyrim by attempting to create my own custom follower. When I decided to get ApachiiSkyHair, I also wanted to recreate said follower with the mod installed. However, everytime I create her, she has a gray face. Doing Ctrl+F4 in the CK does nothing, while "setnpcweight" in the console is only a temporary fix, as whenever I fast travel or go into another area, the face resets back to gray. Help?

You will have to make ONE mod which will incorporate both features: the hair and the follower.
Using 2 mods and combining them doesn't work unless one is an esm file.

Yes, but the ApachiiSkyHair mod is an .esm, so I don't know what to do.
