Make an enchantment even better?
Im playing Legendary difficulty and im trying to make use of Enchanting, Alchemy, and Smithing as much as possible. I found a really good chestplate with an enchantment that gives +50 HP. I however found a better chestplate, and would like that enchantment on the new chestplate. I put the new Chestplate in the enchanting thing, add the Fortify health enchantment, and use a Grand soul gem. However, this only gives it +25 HP. My enchanting is level 55, how much would the enchantment be if i was level 100? Any ideas on how o can get it higher?

Ways to level Enchanting:

*Disenchant gear and learn the enchantment, the stronger the enchantment you disenchant the more XP you get.... this is the only benefit of disenchanting a strong enchantment.
*Enchant gear, doesn't matter if you enchant armour, jewellery or weapons.
*Recharge a weapon.
*Pay a trainer
*Find a skill book for enchanting

To make the best enchantments you'll want Grand or Black Souls and the highest level of enchanting you have with the perks you're able to get. Even better if you have some potions that improve enchanting.

I don't know what the Fortify Health enchant would be at 100, because I never use it.

With full enchanting and relevant perks, full alchemy and relevant perks, a full set of alchemy gear, made with an enchanter's elixir, creating an enchanting potion a bit more powerful than that, I am able to get about 83 points of health out of a grand soul gem.

You can also try to find Azhidal's gear for a bit more enchanting skill. Just as a guesstimate, the 50ish would probably be achievable with 100 enchanting, 5/5 main perks and an enchanter's elixir.

I forgot to mention corpus enchanter, will need that perk also. Here's the UESP on enchanting. Lots of good info and tips. I thought there was a calculator somewhere but I can't seem to find it now.

No worries. If you are level 23 or above, try to find a banish weapon (of expelling) for sale. Disenchant that and buy/steal/loot as many petty/lesser soul gems as you can, while saving cheap looted weapons. Banish weapons with lesser and petty gems will get you roughly 1000 gold and also help you grind enchanting. Don't forget to grab the mage stone and get some sleep first, to help the grind. When you're done, take them to the college and buy up all the gems, spells, and training you need, pay for it with banish weapons. Eventually you'll have all their gold, spells, training, and gems and they'll have a pile of one shot iron wonders.
