The mod is so old, and any problems it had were not addressed (such as causing merchants to exceed 32K gold and therefore causing the player to not actually get any money due to software llimitations), that the question is, why would anyone STILL be using it?

You must do more than just look at a mod and say that sounds nice - you must notice things like when it was published, has the authour just uploaded it and left, are there problems or bugs in the posts section, what are the dates of the most recent posts, etc, etc.

Uninstall the mod and go back to a save made before you installed the mod (if you do not do that, your game will break - if you do not have an ealier save, start a new game).

And read these:

LOL, dude you legit can make enough money out of the first 5-6 whiterun quests/radiants alone to last you the rest of your game, hell the golden claw pays you 1000 septims + whatever you hauled back to sell from bleakfalls and the mine comming into riverwood. Why would you need a mod that makes vendors have more money?

Thank you for your response. I really do appreciate the advise. I uninstalled my skyrim just to be safe but even with a new start I'm haveing the same issue. What did you mean by breaking the game? Does that mean the game will never work right again?
smr1957 Jan 12, 2019 @ 4:37pm
Breaking the game is the term used when your save is so messed up, that it no longer works. And, as a result, you need to start a new game. The game itself is fine, as long as there are no mod files left over that were causing problems. This is the guide we use if you wish to make your game vanilla again:

When you say rich merchants do you mean this one?[www.nexusmods.com]

This is the one I use and I have no problems. I use the x5 option. This gives merchants 3500 gold....if I'm remembering right

I have yet to see vendors who have more than 1100 septims. Not much you can sell before they're broke, and can't pay you more. Kinda dull to have to travel all over Skyrim, from vendor to vendor just to sell a fistul of valuable stuff. :P

True, there are vendors that have around about 2,000-2,500 septims, but selling a few things to them wipes this out.

I generally sell to specific merchants first, like weapons and armour to smiths, potions to alchemists, then sell stuff to general merchants like Belethor. But even counting sellers like the Smith at the companions, and the Khajiit (if around) you are probably talking three or four cities to make a decent amount.

Buying new equipment/materials helps a bit, since you can improve what you have (or learn a new enchantment for gear) and still come out on top because they now have that money to pay you back for loot you are selling.

That's basically what I have to do, yeah. I don't buy much from vendors, except for cure disease potions. Can't have enough of those.

I honestly leave tons and tons of gears outside dungeons in a big pile since it's just not worth running to 90 different merchants to try and sell it off. One ebony bow of burning will wipe out most merchant's gold stash so picking up a bunch of loot is rather pointless unless you want o hoard stuff.

A good workaround that I have been using::
Install Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. Play the quests for it at least up to the time you get access to the safehouse. In the safehouse is a cart that is for "For Sale" items. Talk to the curatator and tell him you have too much stuff and he will tell you about the cart. Then you just dump all that crap gear in there and he sellls it for you. Your coin is waiting for you in the strongbox on the desk near the cart. Easy as skinning a skeever! No more running round to 90 different places to dump all that crap stuff. One spot, dump the stuff and next time you come back to dump more, pick up the coin from the previous sales.
I generally put a chest in one spot just for all that junk gear now until I get to that point in Legacy and have the curator sell for me...then I empty the chest into the cart and BAM! sometimes 10s of thousands of septims waiting for me to collect from gear that I didn't have to worry about pawning off.

Same, I don't take stuff worth less than 300 septims, since you get a lot less for it anyway, except for the beginning of a new game. Then I strip every enemy so I can sell enough to afford a "taxi" to undiscovered cities. xD

Early on its take everything that isn't nailed down but can still walk to get that gold in pocket built up. After that. is established and I can pretty much afford whatever I need.... piles are left outside dungeons and tombs to mark that I've been there done that. All that initial bartering is working toward getting Speech to 50 and getting the Merchant perk so I can sell anything to anybody. Then I don't have to picky about what to take where. And then I work on Legacy to get to the safehouse being mine and no worries about selling anymore at all.

Good plan. Working on speech myself, I'm currently at 42 this time around. I have to try the legacy thing as well, haven't given it much thought. Definitely sounds useful.

It gives a ton of new stuff to do ...I still havent done all of it in one run yet. Discovered the benifit of that sale cart right away tho and love that aspect.

Sounds great. I'm pretty much ignoring the main quest this time, and rather explore things I paid less attention first time, including this.
