Follower insisting on equipping the hunting bow

I know it's an old problem... Does anyone know any mod or method to fix the problem permanently? I made a Daedric Bow for my follower, but he insists on using his weakest bow. I managed to "solve" the problem using console commands to remove the hunting bow... But from time to time, it seems to come back into character. Does anyone know of a mod, or any way to solve this?

give them a different bow and get rid of the hunting bow all you have to do is trade the hunting bow out of his inventory

But this hunting bow is invisible in the follower's inventory, I can only remove it using console commands and over time it respawns

do you have "Amazing Follower Tweaks"? That mod lets you see everything your followers are holding.

You should be able to open up dialogue with your follower to choose the option for his inventory. You can take the lower level bow completely out of his inventory to avoid this problem. This is what I do when it happens. If that doesn't work you can part ways permanently since he doesn't listen to well. -- However, the issue could be multiple other reasons like the mod might need cleaning, updating, or conflicts with other mods, etc.

The best bow I could get my follower to actually use was the Ancient Supple Nord Bow (back on the Xbox). I am not certain why. I'm sure there is a mod to fix it though.

Thank you! I didn't know this mod let you manage that. I thought it was just to change skills and walk with more than one follower

If modding is not your thing, give them a Forsworn bow, they equip those and you can upgrade it.

Ah, I have no problem with installing mods I just don't know many that are useful like that
