There is no "mod" that can do it but you shouldn't do it at all. Even if you can get it stable it's going to cause problems down the road, and the higher you go the worse they are going to get.

Yes, but it will mess up Scripting, AI behaviour and a number of other things, everything is tied to FPS

As I said, they don't show up right away, but when your game breaks later on after sinking a bunch of hours in don't say we didn't warn you.

Skyrim special edition has a mod that lets you uncap the framerate without the physics issues. Not sure if oldrim does. Either way I doubt anyone on this forum world know. They all seem completely clueless about modding.

If everyone here is clueless about modding does this make you the expert? If so then can you explain how to unlock the fps without the scripting and AI issues? I'm sure most of us would love to play the game with higher fps without issues.

Dear Lord.....
Try grasping the fact that it is not the Physics that is the main problem.....
That's a clue by the way.... just so you know....

Then by all means please share your vast knowledge of Bethesda's inner workings and teach the rest of use how to actually mod and play Skyrim above the hard coded 60 fps.

Let's underline what was already been shared above.

Physics are the least of the issue with high FPS. Physics going bonkers is just what player see firs as a symptom, with high FPS.

The main problem is that scripting engine (Papyrus) script handling time / frame is also (as term suggests) tied to FPS.

60 is considered as a stable value for PC. Higher the FPS, the less time game has to handle scripts within frame.

Progress is linear. In 120fps game only has half of what 60fps has to load script data within frame.

This constantly comes up and we repeat the same answer - yet there are always those who know little or nothing of the game engine or what is involved who will argue that they know more than the people who have literally thousands upon thousands of hours experience in helping in the forums and studying the game and seeing EXACTLY what the consequences are. If those people choose to do something that is inherently game breaking and fly in the face of all the accumulated knowledge, that is fine - it is THEIR game, after all - to play or break as they see fit. But they SHOULD NOT be encouraging others to do so, nor saying that it is safe, especially with so many new people acquiring the game and not being fully informed as to its limits, and not knowing the forum sufficiently to know who are the people who have been here for years helping and seen all the adverse consequence of some of the more ridiculous claims that are being made - running the game over 60 FPS being one of the most egregious of them (and which is one of the most frequent causes of games breaking that we see in the forums).

As previously linked by Nowhereman in post #2:
FPS Cannot Exceed 60

(from PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References, Section 5, General Troubleshooting)

ONE MORE THING:
Anyone that says that it is safe to play over 60 FPS is, at best, misinformed and unaware of all that is involved. Therefore, since it can be confusing to determine whom to listen to on these forums, especially for someone new, refer to the following in the pinned topic Helpful Links and References, Section 6, Miscellaneous - Reliable Forum Regulars, for a list and explanation.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present this fine example of what is called "trolling".
